L'apprentissage/enseignement de la morphologie écrite du nombre en français

1999

In written French forms play an essential role. Numerous morphological marks have no correspondence in oral French. This is the case of plural flexions : -s for the plural of nouns and adjectives and -nt for verbs at the third person of indicative present. Earlier research showed that on the one hand the interpretation of these marks precedes their production and that this nominal flexion proceeding appears earlier and more correctly than adjectival flexion proceeding and verbal flexion (-nt). On the other hand, overgeneralizations were tracked down thanks to this research work : faultly use of flexions especially nominal flexions attributed to verbs (ils timbres). But in these investigatio…

MOF-VM: Instantiation Revisited

2016

The Model-Driven Architecture (MDA) is based on an understanding of a hierarchy of levels that are placed on top of each other and that are connected with instantiation. For practical MDA use, it is important to be clear about the kinds of objects that reside on the different levels and the relations between them as well as relations to objects outside of the MDA domain. This article aims at enhancing the understanding of these objects and relations by relating them to a virtual MOF machine.

Democracia, renovación pedagógica y territorio rural: la escuela agrícola comarcal valenciana 'La Serranía'

2018

From theme to rheme: The evolution of causal conjunctions of temporal origin in Catalan

2017

AbstractWe trace the evolution of two causal conjunctions of temporal origin in Catalan, pus (que)‘since’ (laterpuix (que)), which ultimately derives from Latinpost‘after,’ andja que‘since,’ ultimately fromiam‘already.’ We focus on the different causal meanings that these connectors may express at different stages. The analysis of our Catalan corpus, which spans from the 13th to the 20th century, reveals a clear diachronic tendency for clauses headed by these conjunctions to be increasingly more frequently placed after the main clause. Given the expected correlation between clausal order and pragmatic function, we interpret these facts as showing that the thematic usage of clauses (primarily…
