Do All Juveniles Belong to Cosa Nostra? Palermo and Catania are the two main cities of Sicily - Despite the fact that they share similar problems, such as underdevelopment, unemployment and social deprivation, the Juvenile Courts of the two cities apply different policies when dealing with juvenile deviants. When the same kind of crimes committed by juvenile defendants are considered, the Palermo court is found to be more lenient than its counterpart in Cata235 nia. This follow-up study investigated the associations of childhood learning disabilities (LDs) with adult-age anxiety, depression, and unemployment. Psychosocial problems in childhood and psychiatric diagnoses and lack of education in adolescence were studied as potential mediators, and gender and mother’s education were studied as potential moderators of these associations. Jednym z czynników wpływających na aktywność zawodową ludności są procesy migracyjne. Województwo opolskie jako region o długich tradycjach migracyjnych od lat charakteryzował się niską aktywnością zawodową kobiet. Na obszarach objętych intensywnymi migracjami zarobkowymi mężczyzn, bezrobocie kobiet było bardzo wysokie. Wynikało ono z jednej strony z niskiego udziału mężczyzn wśród ogółu bezrobotnych, a z drugiej – z celowego utrzymywania statusu osoby bezrobotnej przez kobiety, który gwarantował m.in. dostęp do świadczeń zdrowotnych. Jauniešu nodarbinātība ir aktuāla problēma gan Latvijā, gan lielā daļā Eiropas Savienības valstu. Maģistra darbs “Jauniešu nodarbinātības problēmas Latvijā” analizē jauniešu nodarbinātības teorētiskos aspektus, identificē problēmas un sniedz priekšlikumus to risināšanai. Darbā ir veikta jauniešu un darba devēju aptauja, kā arī izpētītas darba sludinājumos iekļautās prasības darbiniekiem. Darba gaitā tika izstrādāta shēma, kas parāda darba tirgus mijiedarbību ar izglītības sistēmu un globālo trendu nozīmi tajā. Darba apjoms ir 79 lappuses, tas satur 29 attēlus, 12 tabulas un 2 pielikums. Maģistra darbā izmantoti 45 informācijas avoti.

This thesis examines the longitudinal associations between leisure-time physical activity, educational attainment, and labor market outcomes. Data are drawn from the ongoing longitudinal Cardiovascular Risk in Young Finns Study, which is combined with register-based data from Statistics Finland. The thesis consists of four empirical studies organized in separate chapters. To promote self-awareness of young people’s agency and identify persons in need of support the Assessment Tool for Perceived Agency (ATPA-22) was developed. Aim: This study aims to evaluate the psychometric properties of the ATPA-22. Participants were young adults not in education, employment or training (NEETs) and students in higher education (HEI). W związku pogarszającymi się perspektywami naszych studentów postanowiliśmy przeprowadzić badania, które umożliwią znalezienie efektywnych środków zaradczych, możliwych do wykorzystania przez uniwersytet. Badania zostały przeprowadzone na próbie 500 osób, studiujących politologię, stosunki międzynarodowe i dziennikarstwo. Są to studenci bardzo aktywni, którzy wyrażają obawy o swoją przyszłość na rynku pracy. Dostępne opracowania i strategie pokazują, iż przyszłość młodych ludzi w Polsce w XXI wieku stanowi wielki znak zapytania. Under the paradigm of activation, the Public Employment Services has been reshaped by two levels of contractualization. On one hand, the collaboration of the administration with a network of agents on the programme scheme that make up the active policies of employment. On the other hand, the unemployed person?s access to a compartmentalized offer of services and individually taking responsibility for finding work. This double contractualization reveals redefinition of lowering public responsibility faced with the problem of unemployment that this activation supposes.
