Somekohun anatomia : eli miten somekohut ja somekohuotsikot rakentuvat

Tutkimuksen tavoitteena on selvittää, millainen uuden median luoma ilmiö somekohu on ja miten somekohuista uutisoidaan. Tutkimuskysymyksiä ovat: Millaisia somekohu-uutisten otsikot ovat? Millaisista aineksista somekohu rakentuu? Aineisto koostuu 77 somekohuaiheisesta verkko-otsikosta. Tutkimus pohjautuu käsitykselle, että kielellä on valtaa ja kielenkäyttäjän valinnat rakentavat erilaisia representaatioita todellisuudesta. Doing gender and sexuality intersectionally in multimodal social media practices

The chapter focuses on how members in participatory cultures engage in everyday, informal, and interest-driven social and discursive practices primarily on social media but also in ways that relate to the material and physical contexts of their lives. We show how social actors operating in these sites construct gender and sexuality intersectionally and multimodally. Artikkelissamme identifioimme tilastollisella avainsana-analyysillä Suomi24-keskustelufoorumilla tuotettuja lesboerityisiä diskursseja, joissa – toisin kuin homodiskursseissa – keskitytään seksuaaliseen suuntautumiseen, sukupuoleen ja ulkonäköön. Lesbodiskursseja tarkastelemme edelleen teoriavetoisen kriittisen lähiluvun avulla. Practitioners including designers and teachers developing Virtual Reality (VR) courses are facing a question regarding the strengths and subject areas in which VR-enriched courses might have the highest potential compared to conventional courses. The present study develops a survey scale to assess and match industry managers’ requirements for skills for working life. The same scale was surveyed among two different groups of higher education students participating in conventional courses and a VR-aided course. Project-Based Education Research Course Supports Exchange-students’ Research Minded Teacher Identity

Project-based education (PBE) gives possibilities for students to work together and feeling of belonging in a community even during distance learning. At the Department of Chemistry, University of Jyväskylä (JYU), a group of exchange students participated in a PBE chemistry teacher education research course online. The goal of the course was to enforce the connection between research on science teaching and acting sustainable in society. This study is based on semi-structured online group interview of the students after this PBE course.
