AbstractThis article investigates the construction of gender identities of Pakistani men and women Facebook users given that Facebook has emerged as the prime social media platform through which Pakistani users interact. By employing thematic analysis and taking insights from theory of performativity and intersectionality, the findings of the interview data suggest that the formation, negotiation, and expression of gender identities on Facebook occurs through complex interplay between the discourses of religion, class, culture, and tradition. Bakalaura darba tēma ir “Mēmi kā reģionālo identitāti veidojošs elements: Facebook lapu “Siguldas Memes” un “Alūksniešu memes” diskursa analīze”. Darba mērķis ir noskaidrot, kā caur mēmiem un to diskursu tiek konstruēta reģionālā identitāte un kā to uztver paši iedzīvotāji. Valūtas kursa prognozēšana ir daudzu pētījumu objekts. Pasaulē viss mainās un cenas finanšu tirgū nav izņēmums, un nepieciešamība prognozēt tās izmaiņas kļuva vēl lielāka. Tādi tradicionālie modeļi kā ARMA ne vienmēr var adekvāti aprakstīt finanšu laikrindu ar tās īpatnībām. Tādēļ ir nepieciešams paplašināt tādus modeļus. Viena no valūtas kursa īpatnībām ir volatilitāte. Šis termins ir lietots, lai apraskstītu cenu svārstības. The article aims at combining two methodological approaches, namely corpus linguistics and discourse studies. Both of these approaches are present in corpus-assisted discourse studies (CADS) which makes use of both quantitative and qualitative methodologies. First, an attempt is made to discuss the differences and similarities of these two traditions based on Leech’s (2000) listing. However, it turns out that this listing does not include all necessary viewpoints, and those are further discussed. The case of Gianni Rodari, an Italian communist children's writer whose books were received by the Soviet public with exceptional favour, proves how relations with western communist parties happened to be instrumental in opening up the Soviet cultural system to the world. Rodari became, in fact, well-known in the Soviet Union before attaining fame in his homeland; from the Sixties on, however, things became to change, and from this point on, it may be argued, children from different sides of the iron curtain were brought up reading the same books. The usage of digital marketing channels in SMEs

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to provide insights into the utilization and goals of digital marketing, and examines factors that influence the adoption and use of digital marketing channels in SMEs. Design/methodology/approach – The data comprises semi-structured theme interviews in SMEs among 16 managers and 421 survey respondents in Central Finland. Findings – The results of this study reveal that SMEs seem not use the full potential of the new digital tools, and so are not deriving benefit from the opportunities they provide.
