This paper presents an analysis of the content of Polish school textbooks for teaching history in the context of the USA’s entry into World War I in 1917. School textbooks have been chosen as the dominant source of student history knowledge. Fourteen textbooks were analysed: seven for the third stage of education (lower secondary schools) and seven for the fourth stage (upper secondary schools, technical schools). These were used between 2001 and 2017. The USA’s entry into the Great War undoubtedly had a decisive impact on the outcome of the global conflict. The lost mother tongue : An interview study with Finnish war children

This article presents the third study of an interview investigation concerning 10 Finnish war children who were evacuated during the World War II to Sweden and who did not return to live in Finland after the war. The focus is on how they remembered or did not remember their early experiences of displacement and on how they expressed thoughts about their childhood and their adult life. We found that all of them as adults still bore signs of trauma. Está fechada en 1543 y firmada por F.D.V., monograma que plantea la principal incógnita de nuestra investigación. Tales siglas hacen pensar de inmediato en el pintor Frans Floris de Vriendt.
