Vitellogenin, a storage protein, has been extensively studied for its egg-yolk precursor role, and it has been suggested to be fundamentally involved in caste differences in social insects. More than one vitellogenin copy has been reported in several oviparous species, including ants. However, the number and function of different vitellogenins, their phylogenetic relatedness and their role in reproductive queens and non-reproductive workers has been studied in few species only. This article explores the construction of offences as ‘accidental’ in police-suspect interactions. The data comprise audio-recorded investigative interviews, which were analysed using conversation analysis. In these interviews, suspects often do not explicitly state the nature of their defence when answering police officers’ questions; instead, suspects’ defensive practices or techniques are embedded in the narrative accounts they give of what happened, thus exhibiting rather claiming their ‘innocence’. AbstractMany patients suffering from chronic respiratory diseases rely on inhalation therapy with nebulizers. About 25% of patients who need to inhale several different drugs per day save time by mixing them for simultaneous inhalation. This review presents a comprehensive overview of the available data concerning physico-chemical compatibility of commonly mixed nebulizer solutions and suspensions. Information is based on our in vitro studies and a thorough literature search.Results indicate that many nebulizer solutions/suspensions are mixable without provoking incompatibilities. Output-feedback-based H∞ control for vehicle suspension systems with control delay

This paper deals with the problem of output-feedback H∞ control for a class of active quarter-car suspension systems with control delay. The dynamic system of the suspension systems is first formed in terms of the control objectives, i.e., ride comfort, road holding, suspension deflection, and maximum actuator control force. Then, the objective is to the design of the dynamic output-feedback H∞ controller in order to ensure asymptotic stability of the closed-loop system with H∞ disturbance attenuation level and the output constraints.
