Deciding on the direction of career and life : personal goals, identity development, and well-being during the transition to adulthood

Humans make efforts to manage their lives, and they do this by setting goals and making decisions. When they commit to their decisions, they construct their identity. This research aimed to study young people’s personal goal contents and appraisals, and how these constructs were related to identity and career identity development and subjective well-being. Moral Orders of Mobility: Youth Aspirations and ‘Doing’ Social Position in Finland

By studying the moral orders that young Finnish adults (aged 18–30) attach to geographical mobility, this article reveals previously neglected relationships between aspiration and mobility. The 40 young adult interviewees are living in the midst of Finnish political debates about youth aspiration, which emphasise geographical rather than social mobility as a way to enhance employability and demonstrate aspiration. We argue that young people themselves use the discourse of geographical mobility by leaning on morally ordered social positionings which tend to be classed and gendered. Abstract Despite the biologically damaging impacts of solar ultraviolet radiation (UV) in nature, little is known about its natural variability, forcing mechanisms, and long-term effects on ecosystems and organisms. Arctic zooplankton, for example the aquatic keystone genus Daphnia (Crustacea, Cladocera) responds to biologically damaging UV by utilizing photoprotective strategies, including pigmentation. Šīs darbs ir pētījums par Anglikāņu Baznīcas Svētā Pestītāja draudzes Rīgā sociālu kalpošanu. Pētījumā izvirzītais mērķis – izpetīt anglikāņu draudzes zupas virtuves darbu un identificēt tas koncepciju. Darbā izmantotās metodes ir daļēji strukturētās intervijas un literatūras salidzīnoša analīze. Pētījuma gaitā apstiprināta darbā izvirzīta tēze - ka anglikāņu draudzes zupas virtuves viesiem līdzās materiālām vajadzībām svarīgi piepildīt arī viņu eksistenciālās vajadzības un nepieciešamību pēc atbalstošas kopienas. Šāds pētījums vēl nav līdz šim veikts.

Cette recherche a pour objet d'étudier l'intégration de l'Enseignement Assisté par Ordinateur (EAO) dans la formation en cours d'emploi. L'étude s'articule en deux parties, théorique et pratique. En premier lieu, elle montre l'importance d'une approche en termes d'efficacité interne de la formation, et donc d'une analyse du rapport coût-efficacité. Appréhender le rapport coût-efficacité signifie aborder la structure et la problématique générale des coûts de l'EAO. International audience; L'objectif du papier est d'analyser les aspects macro et micro-économiques des rapports entre politiques sectorielles et usage de la formation initiale. Nous montrerons ainsi que, d'une part, l'intensité différente avec laquelle les secteurs font appel aux divers niveaux de formation initiale est en relation avec leur évolution économique et que, d'autre part, pour un même niveau de formation, les différentes politiques de gestion de la main-d'oeuvre selon les secteurs induisent des trajectoires individuelles différentes.
