IoT gateway and architecture developing for Realtime Location Systems

Epidemioloģiskā situācija pasaulē prasa cilvēku mijiedarbības izpēti telpā. Valdības projekta “Multidisciplināras pieejas izmantošana, lai aprakstītu SARS-CoV-2 epidemioloģisko izplatību Latvijā un izstrādātu efektīvas stratēģijas turpmāko epidēmiju kontrolei” ietvaros tika izstrādāts risinājums attālumu starp cilvēkiem novērošanai, izmantojot UWB tehnoloģiju. Šī dokumenta ietvaros tiks izstrādāta reāllaika lokalizācijas sistēmu vārtejas programmatūra un arhitektūra. Mērķis ir izstrādāt spēcīgu un elastīgu programmatūru vārtejai, lai apkopotu atrašanās vietas datus no sensoriem un saglabātu tos datu bāzēs.

El sistema de posicionamiento global (GPS) es el sistema más utilizado en aplicaciones de localización en exteriores, pero es ineficiente para la localización en interiores. En los últimos años, los sistemas de posicionamiento en interiores se han desarrollado ampliamente. Ultra-Wideband Radio Signals Distribution in FTTH Networks

[EN] The use of an ultra-wideband (UWB) radio technique is proposed as a viable solution for the distribution of high-definition audio/video content in fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) networks. The approach suitability is demonstrated by the transmission of standards-based UWB signals at 1.25 Gb/s along different FTTH fiber links with 25 km up to 60 kin of standard single-mode fiber length in a laboratory experiment. Experimental results suggest that orthogonal frequency-division-multiplexed UWB signals exhibit better transmission performance in FFTH networks than impulse radio UWB signals.

Combined Analysis of OFDM-UWB Transmission in Hybrid Wireless-Optical Access Networks

[EN] The hybrid wireless-optical transmission of ultra-wideband signals employing orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing modulation (OFDM) ultra-wideband (UWB) as defined in the ECMA-368 standard is experimentally analyzed in this letter. The OFDM-UWB signals provide 400 Mb/s per user at optical distances from 5 to 50 km on standard single-mode fiber (SSMF). The analysis includes the wireless radiation from 0 to 3 m after optical transmission. The results indicate a maximum error-vector-magnitude degradation of 2.5 dB measured at 1.5-m radio after 50-km SSMF optical transmission for the first two UWB channels. This degradation translates to 1-m maximum wireless-reach penalty.

Localization in Structured Environments with UWB Devices without Acceleration Measurements, and Velocity Estimation Using a Kalman–Bucy Filter

In this work, a novel scheme for velocity and position estimation in a UWB range-based localization system is proposed. The suggested estimation strategy allows to overcome two main problems typically encountered in the localization systems. The first one is that it can be suitable for use in environments where the GPS signal is not present or where it might fail. The second one is that no accelerometer measurements are needed for the localization task. Development of UWB localization network modules and integration in MansOS operating system

Slimību pārnese starp cilvēkiem mūsdienās ir ļoti aktuāla problēma. Ir nepieciešams rast risinājumus šīs problēmas novēršanai un vai seku mīkstināšanai. Tādēļ šī bakalaura darba ietvaros tika optimizēti lokalizācijas sistēmu tīkli priekš cilvēku kustību pārraudzīšanas telpās, izmantojot pieejamas lokalizācijas sistēmas, kuras izmanto UWB tehnoloģiju un jau iepriekš izveidotu lokalizācijas sistēmu arhitektūru. Problēmas risinājums tika veidots valsts pētījumu programmas (VPP) projekta “Multidisciplināra pieeja COVID19 un citu nākotnes epidēmiju monitorēšanai, kontrolei un ierobežošanai Latvijā” ietvaros.
