Borrelia burgdorferi ārējās virsmas proteīnu BB0689 un BBA73 funkcionālie pētījumi

Maģistra darbs veidots ar mērķi noskaidrot B. burgdorferi ārējās virsmas proteīnu BB0689 un BBA73 potenciālo lomu patogēna un saimniekorganisma mijiedarbībā, kas varētu paplašināt mūsu zināšanas par Laimboreliozes patoģenēzi. Borēlijas proteīnu un zīdītāju vai artropodu proteīnu iespējamā mijiedarbība ir noteikta, izmantojot Ni-NTA afinitātes hromatogrāfiju, proteīnu kompleksu imūnprecipitāciju (Co-Ip) un attālināto Western blotu. Konstatēto mijiedarbības partneru identifikācijai ir izmantota MALDI-TOF masas spektrometrija. Pētījuma rezultātā ir konstatēta BB0689 iespējamā saistība ar vairākiem zīdītāju proteīniem, savukārt BBA73 gadījumā ir novērota tā mijiedarbība ar Ixodes ērču proteīnie…

En El sueño de Venecia de Paloma Díaz-Mas y en El velázquez de París de Carmen Boullosa, el protagonismo recae en un cuadro y los avatares sufridos por el mismo a lo largo de la historia. El propósito de este estudio es analizar la manera en que el rastreo de la historia de estos cuadros en ambas novelas genera reflexiones de índole pictórica y literaria sobre la naturaleza del arte, el proceso de creación, el carácter de la recepción e interpretación artísticas y el papel de la memoria y el arte tanto pictórico como literario en la recuperación o invención del pasado.
Extropy: Complementary Dual of Entropy

This article provides a completion to theories of information based on entropy, resolving a longstanding question in its axiomatization as proposed by Shannon and pursued by Jaynes. We show that Shannon's entropy function has a complementary dual function which we call "extropy." The entropy and the extropy of a binary distribution are identical. However, the measure bifurcates into a pair of distinct measures for any quantity that is not merely an event indicator. As with entropy, the maximum extropy distribution is also the uniform distribution, and both measures are invariant with respect to permutations of their mass functions. International audience; : Transverse and longitudinal relaxation times (T1ρ and T1 ) have been widely exploited in NMR to probe the binding of ligands and putative drugs to target proteins. We have shown recently that long-lived states (LLS) can be more sensitive to ligand binding. LLS can be excited if the ligand comprises at least two coupled spins. Herein we broaden the scope of ligand screening by LLS to arbitrary ligands by covalent attachment of a functional group, which comprises a pair of coupled protons that are isolated from neighboring magnetic nuclei. L'idea che le scuole siano luoghi pericolosi in cui i ragazzi sono esposti con crescente probabilità a violenze e vessazioni non ha alcun fondamento nei dati disponibili. Quando si denuncia il bullismo va tenuto d'occhio il passato, per non confondere la accresciuta intolleranza media alla violenza con la sua effettiva diffusione. Bisogna sviluppare una maggiore capacità di difesa dai veleni che diffondono i media, la cui logica spesso non è quella della rappresentazione analitica e documentata della realtà sociale. Com'è noto l'attenzione è più attratta dal fracasso dell'albero che cade che dalla silente crescita della foresta.
The influence of reverse flow on the dynamics of closed-loop supply chains

The purpose of this paper is to study the impact of reverse logistics’ factors on the order and inventory variance amplification in a closed-loop supply chain. We adopt a difference equation math approach for analysing a closed-loop supply chain. Results show how the return flow positively affects both the inventory variance and the bullwhip effect independently of the number of echelons. On the contrary, an increasing remanufacturing lead-time negatively affects both the two metrics studied independently of the above mentioned settings. However, when the number of echelons increases, the benefit provided by the return flow tends to decrease.

Abstract Background Bullying is recognized as one of the most significant social and health problems in the school environment for children and adolescents. In Italy, bullying involved 2 in 10 kids between 11–17 years that referred to have been bullied two or more times in a month. In Sicily, the estimated prevalence of children aged 11 to 15 that suffered at least one act of bullying in the last two months was 14% in 2011. Being a serious threat to physical and emotional health of children and adolescents all over the world, bullying in school represents an important public health issue.
