Il contributo esamina l’ormai risalente questione del possibile contrasto del diritto penale di fonte europea con il principio di legalità penale statale, alla luce delle novità introdotte dal Trattato di Lisbona. Thin and fat sets for doubling measures in metric spaces

We consider sets in uniformly perfect metric spaces which are null for every doubling measure of the space or which have positive measure for all doubling measures. These sets are called thin and fat, respectively. In our main results, we give sufficient conditions for certain cut-out sets being thin or fat.

Potential approach in marginalizing Gibbs models

Abstract Given an undirected graph G or hypergraph potential H model for a given set of variables V , we introduce two marginalization operators for obtaining the undirected graph G A or hypergraph H A associated with a given subset A ⊂ V such that the marginal distribution of A factorizes according to G A or H A , respectively. Finally, we illustrate the method by its application to some practical examples. With them we show that potential approach allow defining a finer factorization or performing a more precise conditional independence analysis than undirected graph models. Finally, we explain connections with related works.

On the Soluble Graph of a Finite Simple Group

The maximal independent sets of the soluble graph of a finite simple group G are studied and their independence number is determined. In particular, it is shown that this graph in many cases has an independent set with three vertices.

Approximate convex hull of affine iterated function system attractors

International audience; In this paper, we present an algorithm to construct an approximate convex hull of the attractors of an affine iterated function system (IFS). We construct a sequence of convex hull approximations for any required precision using the self-similarity property of the attractor in order to optimize calculations. Due to the affine properties of IFS transformations, the number of points considered in the construction is reduced. The time complexity of our algorithm is a linear function of the number of iterations and the number of points in the output convex hull. A comparison of compatible, finite, and inductive graph properties

Abstract In the theory of hyperedge-replacement grammars and languages, one encounters three types of graph properties that play an important role in proving decidability and structural results. The three types are called compatible, finite, and inductive graph properties. All three of them cover graph properties that are well-behaved with respect to certain operations on hypergraphs. In this paper, we show that the three notions are essentially equivalent. Consequently, three lines of investigation in the theory of hyperedge replacement - so far separated - merge into one.

Rademacher Theorem for Fréchet spaces

Abstract Let X be a separable Frechet space. In this paper we define a class A of null sets in X that is properly contained in the class of Aronszajn null sets, and we prove that a Lipschitz map from an open subset of X into a Gelfand-Frechet space is Gateaux differentiable outside a set belonging to A. This is an extension to Frechet spaces of a result (see [PZ]) due to D. Preiss and L. Zajicek.

As is the case with traditional markets, the sellers on the Internet do not usually know the demand functions of their customers. However, in such a digital environment, a seller can experiment different prices in order to maximize his profits. In this paper, we develop a dynamic pricing model to solve the pricing problem of a Web-store, where seller sets a fixed price and buyer either accepts or doesn’t buy. On the equivalence of McShane and Pettis integrability in non-separable Banach spaces

Abstract We show that McShane and Pettis integrability coincide for functions f : [ 0 , 1 ] → L 1 ( μ ) , where μ is any finite measure. On the other hand, assuming the Continuum Hypothesis, we prove that there exist a weakly Lindelof determined Banach space X, a scalarly null (hence Pettis integrable) function h : [ 0 , 1 ] → X and an absolutely summing operator u from X to another Banach space Y such that the composition u ○ h : [ 0 , 1 ] → Y is not Bochner integrable; in particular, h is not McShane integrable.

The surjective hull of a polynomial ideal

2016

The aim of this paper is the study of surjective ideals of homogeneous polynomials between Banach spaces. To do so we define the surjective hull of a polynomial ideal and prove the main properties of this hull procedure. For a more comprehensive theory, new lifting properties of homogeneous polynomials are proved and applied to the description of the surjective hulls of the ideals of I-bounded polynomials and of composition polynomials ideals. Several applications are provided.
