Examples of UV–Vis profiles use as tool for evidence of the metallophthalocyanines transformation

Abstract The UV–Vis spectra for a set of MPcs (Mmetal, Pc = phthalocyanine ligand), i.e.: In(III)PcI (1), Hf(IV)PcI2Pht (Pht = phthalonitrile) (2), Sn(II)Pc (3), Sn(IV)PcI2 (4), and Ge(IV)PcI2 (5) have been examined in two solvents, O-donative acetylacetone, and non-coordinative benzene. The UV–Vis spectra in Hacac solution of 1,2 and 4,5 shows that the axially ligated iodine atoms are replaced by (acac)− anions of the solvent, whereas in 3 the oxygen donors of the solvent causing the auto-oxidation of Sn(II) to Sn(IV) ions and as a result the Sn(II)Pc is transformed into the Sn(IV)Pc(acac)2. In the last few decades, hydropower production has been moving toward a new paradigm of low and diffused power density production of energy with small and mini-hydro plants, which usually do not require significant water storage. In the case of nominal power lower than 20 kW and ultra-low head H (H < 5 m), Archimedes screw or Kaplan type turbines are usually chosen due to their efficiency, which is higher than 0.85. Basking in Reflected Glory and Blasting : Differences in identity management strategies between two groups of highly identified soccer fans

2007

This study examines in soccer fanzine two identity management strategies - BIRGing and blasting -- of two groups of highly identified soccer fans with allegiance to the same team. Results showed strong support for the BIRG phenomenon among both ultra fans groups but little evidence of the blasting phenomenon among either group. The implications of these findings are discussed in regards to social identity management among sport fans.

Ikääntymisen vaikutukset lihaksen ja jänteen suhteelliseen venymään passiivisen venytyksen aikana

Tämä tutkimus tarkasteli ikääntymisen vaikutuksia sisemmän kaksoiskantalihaksen, leveän kantalihaksen ja etummaisen säärilihaksen mekaanisiin ominaisuuksiin passiivisen venytyksen aikana. Oletusta ikääntymisen aiheuttamasta muutoksesta lihaksen ja jänteen suhteellisessa venymässä tutkittiin ultraäänen avulla. Lisäksi tarkasteltiin, miten pitkäaikainen liikunnan harrastaminen vaikuttaa ikääntyneen lihas-jännekompleksin ominaisuuksiin. Koehenkilöryhmät olivat nuoret (N=12; 27,8 ± 3,2 v), ikääntyneet (N=15; 69,4 ± 5,3 v) ja veteraaniurheilijat (N16; 73,3 ± 2,8 v). Background: Development of seroma after incisional hernia repair is a common complication. Our study aims to compare the outcomes of sublay incisional hernia repairs with or without spray instillation of fibrin glue. Methods: We enrolled fifty patients undergoing incisional hernia repair. In all patients a suction drain was placed in the subcutaneous space. In one group (FG) 4 ml fibrin glue was instilled in the subcutaneous space.
