A Conceptual Model of ICT-Supported Unified Process of International Outsourcing of Software Production
2006
This is an ongoing research in international outsourcing software production. This research examines how Software production through the ICTsupported unified process of international outsourcing could be executed and managed effectively. To address this research question, the results of an in-depth literature review in the areas of outsourcing, international outsourcing, information technology, and international software production is presented. This study proposes the information communication technologies? (ICT) - supported unified process model of international outsourcing of software production (SUPMIOSP). ICT-SUPMIOSP provides a detailed guideline on how to manage the entire process of…
On the generalized directed rural postman problem
2014
The generalized directed rural postman problem (GDRPP) is a generic type of arc routing problem. In the present paper, it is described how many types of practically relevant single-vehicle routing problems can be modelled as GDRPPs. This demonstrates the versatility of the GDRPP and its importance as a unified model for postman problems. In addition, an exact and a heuristic solution method are presented. Computational experiments using two large sets of benchmark instances are performed. The results show high solution quality and thus demonstrate the practical usefulness of the approach.
UML-Based Metamodeling for Information System Engineering and Evolution
2003
In modelers’ practice metamodels have become the core of UML-based metamodeling environments: metamodels form the basis of application domain descriptions, and they are instantiated into models. In the context of information system engineering and interoperability, we have developped two operations on metamodels: metamodel integration and measure of semantical distance between metamodels. In this paper, we explore application of these operations to information systems’ evolution.
Para una historia de la administración italiana. Del Estado liberal al Estado fascista
2018
The origins of the Italian Public Administration date back to a time prior to the political birth of Italy. Its history follows an itinerary based on gradual modifications in correspondence with economic, social, political and cultural changes. Between the 19th and the 20th Century, the Italian Public Administration played several roles. Going from being a political instrument to a means of social intervention and/or a vehicle of economic direction, the Italian Public Administration drew its own structures and modified its own roles, according with the constitutional development that leaded Italy from the liberal State to the fascist State. But there was also a technical continuity, which p…
NONLOCAL LAYER-WISE ADVANCED THEORIES FOR LAMINATED PLATES
2019
Eringen nonlocal layer-wise models for the analysis of multilayered plates are formulated in the framework of the Carrera Unified Formulation and the Reissner Mixed Variational Theorem (RMVT). The use of the layer-wise approach and RMVT ensures the fulfilment of the transverse stress equilibrium at the layers’ interfaces and allows the analysis of plates with layers exhibiting different characteristic lengths in their nonlocal behaviour. A Navier solution has been implemented and tested for the static bending of rectangular simply-supported plates. The obtained results favourably compare against available three-dimensional analytic results and demonstrate the features of the proposed theori…

Determining Sneutrino Masses and Physical Implications
2005
In some areas of supersymmetry parameter space, sneutrinos are lighter than the charginos and the next-to-lightest neutralino, and they decay into the invisible neutrino plus lightest-neutralino channel with probability one. In such a scenario they can be searched for in decays of charginos that are pair-produced in e+e- collisions, and in associated sneutrino-chargino production in photon-electron collisions. The sneutrino properties can be determined with high accuracy from the edges of the decay energy spectra in the first case and from threshold scans in the second. In the final part of the report we investigate the mass difference of sneutrinos and charged sleptons between the third an…
Supersymmetric type-III seesaw mechanism: Lepton flavor violation and LHC phenomenology
2013
We study a supersymmetric version of the type-III seesaw mechanism considering two variants of the model: a minimal version for explaining neutrino data with only two copies of 24 superfields and a model with three generations of 24-plets. The latter predicts, in general, rates for mu -> e gamma inconsistent with experimental data. However, this bound can be evaded if certain special conditions within the neutrino sector are fulfilled. In the case of two 24-plets, lepton flavor violation constraints can be satisfied much more easily. After specifying the corresponding regions in the minimal supergravity parameter space, we show that under favorable conditions one can test the corresponding …
Search for the Standard Model Higgs boson in the two photon decay channel with the ATLAS detector at the LHC
2011
A search for the Standard Model Higgs boson in the two photon decay channel is reported, using 1.08 fb−11.08 fb[superscript −1] of proton–proton collision data at a centre-of-mass energy of 7 TeV recorded by the ATLAS detector. No significant excess is observed in the investigated mass range of 110–150 GeV. Upper limits on the cross-section times branching ratio of between 2.0 and 5.8 times the Standard Model prediction are derived for this mass range.
Global constraints on muon-neutrino non-standard interactions
2011
The search for new interactions of neutrinos beyond those of the Standard Model may help to elucidate the mechanism responsible for neutrino masses. Here we combine existing accelerator neutrino data with restrictions coming from a recent atmospheric neutrino data analysis in order to lift parameter degeneracies and improve limits on new interactions of muon neutrinos with quarks. In particular we re-consider the results of the NuTeV experiment in view of a new evaluation of its systematic uncertainties. We find that, although constraints for muon neutrinos are better than those applicable to tau or electron neutrinos, they lie at the few $\times 10^{-2}$ level, not as strong as previously …
