On some Translation Planes Admitting a Frobenius Group of Collineations
1983
Publisher Summary This chapter presents some results concerning translation planes of dimension 2 over GF(q), where q = p r . π denotes such a plane. It is assumed that π has a collineation group F of order q 2 (q-1) satisfying the condition: there exists a point V e l ∞ such that F fixes V and acts (faithfully) as a Frobenius group on l ∞ – {V}.
Scritture dimenticate, scritture colonizzate: sistemi grafici e codifiche digitali
2020
In D…
Forme del testo digitale
2017
Divisible designs from semifield planes
2002
AbstractWe give a general method to construct divisible designs from semifield planes and we use this technique to construct some divisible designs. In particular, we give the case of twisted field plane as an example.
A comparative evaluation between dermatoglyphic patterns and different terminal planes in primary dentition
2018
Background To assess the correlation between different dermatoglyphic patterns with the terminal planes in deciduous dentition. Material and methods 300 children who are 3-6 years old with complete primary dentition were recruited and the pattern of molar terminal plane was recorded in the proforma. Finger prints of the distal phalanges of these subjects were recorded using ink and roller method and were analysed for the finger print pattern by a forensic specialist. The pattern were classified based on classification given by Galton. The finger ridge counts were also measured. Results Ulnar loop pattern was the most predominant dermatoglyphic pattern. Absence of arch pattern in ring and li…
Affine camera calibration from homographies of parallel planes
2010
This paper deals with the problem of retrieving the affine structure of a scene from two or more images of parallel planes. We propose a new approach that is solely based on plane homographies, calculated from point correspondences, and that does not require the recovery of the 3D structure of the scene. Neither vanishing points nor lines need to be extracted from the images. The case of a moving camera with constant intrinsic parameters and the one of cameras with possibly different parameters are both addressed. Extensive experiments with both synthetic and real images have validated our approach.
Detection of Duplicated Regions in Tampered Digital Images by Bit-Plane Analysis
2009
In this paper we present a new method for searching duplicated areas in a digital image. The goal is to detect if an image has been tampered by a copy-move process. Our method works within a convenient domain. The image to be analyzed is decomposed in its bit-plane representation. Then, for each bitplane, block of bits are encoded with an ASCII code, and a sequence of strings is analyzed rather than the original bit-plane. The sequence is lexicographically sorted and similar groups of bits are extracted as candidate areas, and passed to the following plane to be processed. Output of the last planes indicates if, and where, the image has been altered.

The erector spinae plane block: a narrative review
2019
Regional anesthesia and pain management have experienced advances in recent years, especially with the advent of fascial plane blocks. The erector spinae plane block is one of the newest techniques to be described. In the past two years, publications referring to ESP block have increased significantly. The objective of this review is to analyze the articles about ESP block that have been published to date. We performed a search in the main databases and identified 368 articles. After a selection of the relevant articles, 125 studies were found eligible and were included in the review. The ESP block is performed by depositing the local anesthetic in the fascial plane, deeper than the erector…
