SUMMARY The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence of malocclusion and orthodontic treatment need in 12- to 16-year-old Spanish schoolchildren using the aesthetic component (AC) and Dental Health Component (DHC) of the Index of Orthodontic Treatment Need (IOTN) and to analyse the relationship with gender and age. A standardisation process was developed in order to compare and harmonize serological results of pertussis toxin (PT) antibody measurements performed by laboratories using different technical procedures for detection. The proteins encoded by the Ink4/Arf locus, p16Ink4a, p19Arf and p15Ink4b are major tumour suppressors that oppose aberrant mitogenic signals. The expression levels of the locus are progressively increased during aging and genome-wide association studies have linked the locus to a number of aging-associated diseases and frailty in humans. However, direct measurement of the global impact of the Ink4/Arf locus on organismal aging and longevity was lacking. Comorbidity between depressive symptoms and migraine: preliminary data from the Zabút Aging Project

We evaluated the association between depressive symptoms and migraine using cross-sectional data from the Zabút Aging Project, a population-based study including subjects agedor =50 years. A total of 1285 nonmigraineurs and 151 migraineurs were included. Diagnosis of migraine was carried out using the criteria of the International Headache Society. The Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression scale (CES-D) was used to score depressive symptoms. Depressive symptoms were clustered in four groups: depressed and positive affects, somatic activity and intrapersonal feelings.
