A novel device for intracolonoscopy cleansing of inadequately prepared colonoscopy patients: a feasibility study.

Abstract Background The importance of high quality preprocedural bowel preparation is widely acknowledged, but suboptimal bowel cleansing still occurs in up to 20 % of all colonoscopy patients. The aim of this study was to evaluate the performance of a novel intraprocedural cleaning device for cleaning poorly prepared colons. Methods This multicenter feasibility study included patients aged 18 – 75 years who were referred for colonoscopy. International audience; In this study we have investigated the resources used by first year engineering students in a technical university in the Netherlands, for their learning of Calculus and Linear Algebra. Using a case study approach we have focused on how the resources and their use (a) differed from upper secondary school as compared to university, and (b) differed between the two university courses. Simple Summary Variable domains of heavy chain only antibodies are small proteins that can be used for tumor imaging and therapy upon conjugation of functional groups. As frequently used random conjugation techniques can decrease binding to the target of interest, site-specific conjugation of these functional groups is preferred. Here, we optimized site-specific conjugation of both a chelator for binding of a radiometal and a photosensitizer to epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) binding VHH 7D12. Background - The rapidly expanding era of “omics” research is highly dependent on the availability of quality-proven biological material, especially for rare conditions such as pediatric malignancies. Professional biobanks provide such material, focusing on standardized collection and handling procedures, distinctive quality measurements, traceability of storage conditions, and accessibility. For pediatric malignancies, traditional tumor biobanking is challenging due to the rareness and limited amount of tissue and blood samples.
