In recent years, to better face university paths, the first approaches to the labor market, and then the actual transition, university students are asked to have broader skills, such as the ability to network, the involve- ment in career-related issues, and the ability to explore the characteristics of occupations as much as per- sonal ones. Young noble scions coming from the vast geography of the Spanish Empire coincided within what have been identified as the “Lecture Halls of the Catholic Monarchy”, that is the buildings of the University of Salamanca. Among these nobles, generous and (Church) dignitaries, between 1546 and 1668 Italians amounted to a half hundred students. In the current knowledge-based economy, Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) are called to play different interconnected roles related to triple university missions.
