Resumen En buena parte de los 17 objetivos de desarrollo sostenible marcados como metas de la humanidad por la ONU se deja entrever la sostenibilidad. Debido al modelo socioproductivo dominante, el único modo de avanzar hacia territorios más sostenibles que permitan alcanzar y mantener el bienestar de la población mundial, es tener presente la necesidad de planificar adecuadamente el desarrollo territorial. Este trabajo reflexiona sobre esta necesidad y avanza en la definición de los principales criterios para alcanzar la sostenibilidad territorial en las escalas regionales y locales.

Celem artykułu jest określenie poziomu rozwoju zrównoważonego miast metropolitalnych w Polsce w ramach trzech podstawowych wymiarów tego zjawiska. W analizie uwzględniono wymiar społeczny (w tym instytucjonalny), gospodarczy i środowiskowo-przestrzenny. Zastosowano metodę taksonomiczną, pozwalającą na porządkowanie badanych jednostek terytorialnych w sposób zhierarchizowany. Określono poziomy ich rozwoju w poszczególnych wymiarach z uwzględnieniem struktury cech, które je opisują. Zidentyfikowanie struktury cech pozwala na określenie, w jakiej odległości od idealnej struktury tych cech są badane miasta. Development and changes in the industrial function of a city with reference to the conception of sustainable development (a study case of Opole)

The principal goal of the paper is to identify the influence of the industrial sphere on the development of and changes in a city, according to rules of sustainable development. The first part of the article is devoted to industrial objects and area which have existed for about 20 years and are characterized by huge changes. It is important to answer the questions: how changes in the case of an obsolete industrial area are related to social and environmental spheres, and what should be done in the case of a negative influence of the industrial sphere on the other two. Simulating and assessing prospective scenarios

The first part of the paper is centered on the phenomena of urban growth, in order to set the rules for a sustainable scenario of urban development. Then we enter the core of the paper that is the comparison of models. For each of the three compared models, we describe its main theoretical characteristics, the chosen parameters, and the obtained results. In section 6, heterogeneity of the produced results is discussed, and we highlight the points of interest and the lacks of the three models. Through this paper we present the first results of a research combining the management problem of Municipal Solid Waste to the requalification of built environment. MUV: A Game to Encourage Sustainable Mobility Habits

This working paper investigates the question of changing people mobility towards more sustainable habits involving them in an engaging gameplay. The work is performed within MUV H2020 research and innovation action. The game design, definition and features have been co-created through the involvement of different citizens and stakeholders in six European neighbourhoods. The paper discusses the game design as resulting from co-creation and co-design experiences with each neighbourhood communities involved in initial phases.
