[ES] Este artículo pretende establecer criterios para delimitar de modo riguroso qué es lo que constituye un territorio rural o urbano, dadas las limitaciones de las metodologías tradicionales. En segundo lugar, se propone una tipología rural/urbana a escala municipal para España tomando en consideración tres criterios: la demografía —combinando densidades con umbrales mínimos de población— la información sobre coberturas y usos del suelo y el grado de accesibilidad desde el mundo rural a las ciudades. El resultado es el establecimiento de seis tipos distintos de municipios.

Collaborative governance can be defined as a concerted type of decision-making and collective action in which government bodies and private sector stakeholders interact as equal partners with the aim of achieving outcomes of interest for both parties. The interpretation of the notion of citizenship has led some authors to the conclusion of the necessity of overcoming a ‘restricted conception’ of citizenship, in order to gain a more inclusive recognition of a cosmopolitan, rather than a mere universal, recognition of rights. The work of people – related to tuna fishing, stone extraction and agriculture – has created, over time, an exceptional landscape. The nature, colour and texture of the local stone have given shape to a traditional architecture that, today, risks to disappear and to be replaced by new anonymous buildings. Furthermore, the pressure of tourism threatens to damage this delicate balance established, over centuries, between people and environment.
