Digital Mental Health Resources for Children and Youth : Evaluation of Strengths in User Interface Design

The aim of this research is to explore the positive user interface (UI) design of digital mental health resources for children and youth. For this purpose, a heuristic model is introduced and heuristic evaluation is used as a method to systematically assess 49 digital mental health resources. In the assessment, the resources are evaluated by observing the prevalence of UI design strengths defined in the heuristic model. The results of the study indicate that the resources analyzed have strengths especially in the dimensions of visual design, content, reliability, engagement and functional design. This philosophy-oriented paper examines cybersecurity and its ontological work in relation to spaces which are created by conventional perimeter security model and Zero Trust model. Our objective is to encourage the human-computer interface designers to be more interested in the uses made of their product by taking into account to a higher degree the human-factor in the testing phase which often is too focused on technical aspects. We want to facilitate the integration of the user as a source of evaluation during the testing phase. Our aim is to offer the designer a software environment of practical tests that allow them to have their own products evaluated by their users. We undertook an experiment to explore the feasibility of this project.

O wierszach (nie tylko) dla dzieci Juliana Kornhausera

The article is based on a synthetic description of this part of Julian Komhauser’s oeuvre, in which the figure of a child appears. Thus, it focuses on the interpretation of a selection of the poet’s texts that are addressed to children exclusively. A significant part is therefore devoted to considerations on the poems that are situated in the borderland between literature for children and texts for adults. The major synthetic aim of the article is an attempt to divide Kornhauser’s “children’s poems” into two main categories: carnivalesque, as well as reflexive and symbolic ones.
