Mental practice in music memorization - an ecological-empirical study

Mental Practice (MP) refers to a complex network of strategies for improving musical performance without physically performing at the instrument. The present study represents an attempt to describe cross-individual differences in the use of different MP strategies, allowing direct predictions on which strategies are more likely to be effective. Sixteen pianists were studied while memorizing piano pieces. Each subject memorized two pieces of comparable length and difficulty, one by MP and the other by Physical Practice (PP), on two different days according to standardized protocols. The paper takes the recent cases Erika Jőrös (Case C- 397/11,) and Asbeek Brusse,(case C-488-11), both dated 30 may 2013, as a starting point for a more general analysis of the ECJ’s approach to the legal consequences to be drawn by a national Court from finding that a contractual term is unfair. According to the Author, the approach adopted by the Court is the same that it has already been expressed in Mostaza Claro case. By revisiting the earlier Océno, the Court clarified that national courts have not only the right but even the duty to assess the fairness or unfairness of standards terms of their own motion. En las páginas que siguen presentamos un posible análisis de bueno en su función de marcador del discurso. Este análisis es parte (y a la vez resultado) de un trabajo contrastivo en torno a well/bueno y de otros marcadores del discurso en inglés y en castellano, dado su frecuente uso en la conversación cotidiana. La razón por la que se comparan estos dos marcadores es porque se pensó que podían coincidir en su función en ambos idiomas, y se procedió al análisis para comprobar esta hipótesis. I fenomeni di dissesto idrogeologico determinato dall’azione dei fattori naturali su superfici di diversa natura modificano profondamente il paesaggio. Alle cause di origine naturale si aggiungono le pressioni di natura antropica con effetti negativi nei riguardi del suolo aumentandone la suscettibilità al dissesto. L’obiettivo del presente lavoro è analizzare i dissesti in atto all’interno del bacino del Fiume Imera Settentrionale allo scopo di verificare la possibilità di mitigare tali fenomeni mediante l’adozione di una adeguata pianificazione di interventi forestali. Self-efficacy in AIDS sexual prevention: influence of gender

La literatura científica apunta a que la escasa autoeficacia para el uso del preservativo explicaría muchas conductas de riesgo de transmisión del VIH en jóvenes. Se analiza la autoeficacia de los jóvenes en el uso del preservativo, la existencia de diferencias de género y la relación con variables relevantes en la prevención. Se aplicó la "Subescala de Autoeficacia en el Uso del Preservativo", incluida en el Cuestionario de Prevención del Sida (Ballester, Gil y Giménez, 2007), a 3540 universitarios (50.9% mujeres, 49.1% hombres). Abstract: The scientific literature suggests that a low self-efficacy for con- dom use may be related to many risky behaviors for HIV transmission in young people. We analyze the self-efficacy of condom use among youth, the existence of gender differences and the relationship with other relevant variables in HIV prevention. The "Self-Efficacy Condom Use Subscale", included in the AIDS Prevention Questionnaire (Ballester, Gil and Gimenez, 2007), was administrated to 3540 university students (50.9% women, 49.1% men).
