Control of spontaneous spiral formation in a zwitterionic micellar medium

The transition from planar fronts, trigger waves or solitary pulses to spirals in excitable media, has attracted increasing interest in the past few decades, mainly because of its relevance for biological and medical applications. In this paper we describe a new and convenient method for spiral generation starting from symmetric wavefronts. By using the micelle-forming zwitterionic surfactant N-tetradecyl- N,N-dimethylamine oxide in a Belousov–Zhabotinsky solution, it is possible to control to a large extent the domains where spirals can be spontaneously generated. Artykuł poddaje analizie instytucję zabezpieczenia na nieruchomości w postępowaniu karnym w kontekście połączenia w niej działania organów postępowania karnego w dwóch różnych procedurach i w dwóch różnych pozycjach procesowych. Zabezpieczenie następuje w zakresie tytułu wykonawczego w postaci stosownego postanowienia i wynika z postępowania karnego w fazie in personam. Tytuł wykonawczy uzyskany w procedurze karnej stanowi podstawę wpisu hipoteki przymusowej według regulacji procedury cywilnej do księgi wieczystej. Wavelength conversion and temporal compression of a pulse train using a dispersion oscillating fiber

International audience; We demonstrate the generation of a picosecond pulse train taking advantage of the cross gain occurring in a dispersion oscillating fibre. The resulting frequency-converted signal is detuned by more than 20 nm from the pump and can be temporally compressed by a factor 2 compared to the input sinusoidal pump wave.
High-Pressure Raman Scattering of CaWO4 Up to 46.3 GPa: Evidence of a New High-Pressure Phase

International audience; The high-pressure behavior of CaWO4 wasanalyzed at room temperature by Raman spectroscopy.Pressure was generated using a diamond-anvil cell and Ne aspressure-transmitting medium. The pressure range of previousstudies has been extended from 23.4 to 46.3 GPa. Theexperiments reveal the existence of two reversible phasetransitions. The first one occurs from the tetragonal scheelitestructure to the monoclinic fergusonite structure and isobserved at 10 GPa. The onset of a previously unknownsecond transition is found at 33.4 GPa. International audience; L’article porte sur la représentation de la figure de la maîtresse d’école dans l’œuvre de trois femmes écrivains. Le corpus comprend "Scuola normale femminile" (1886) de Matilde Serao, "La maestra" (1887) de Clarice Tartufari et "Annuzza la maestrina. Vecchia storia … inverosimile" (1907) d’Elvira Mancuso. Ces textes montrent les contradictions du travail des maîtresses d’école entre la fin du XIXe et le début du XXe siècle. Les femmes - qui s’orientent vers ce métier dans un espoir d’ascension sociale et d’accès au travail intellectuel - doivent faire face à des obstacles comme la misère, le harcèlement sexuel et les mentalités contraires à l’indépendance des femme…
