AbstractThe authors of the article analyse the ideology of the authoritarian regime which lasted in Latvia from the coup d'etat on 15 May 1934 until the beginning of the Soviet occupation on 17 June 1940. A variety of sources (newspapers and books of the analysed period) are used for the article. The birthday celebrations of authoritarian leader Kārlis Ulmanis are used as a case study to show the performative elements of the regime. ResumenSiguiendo los fundamentos de la crítica como sabotaje, este ensayo analiza la novela de Élmer Mendoza, Cóbraselo caro, como un efecto performativo de la lectura de la novela de Juan Rulfo, Pedro Páramo. A través del estudio de las relaciones lingüísticas, temáticas y situacionales entre esas dos novelas, muestra que Cóbraselo caro, aun siendo un efecto performativo de Pedro Páramo, supone el auto-sabotaje de Élmer Mendoza en relación a buena parte de su narrativa. Creaky voice and utterance fluency measures in predicting perceived fluency and oral proficiency of spontaneous L2 Finnish

While utterance fluency measures are often studied in rela tion to perceived L2 fluency and proficiency, the effect of creaky voice remains ignored. However, creaky voice is frequent in a number of languages, including Finnish, where it serves as a cue for phrase-boundaries and turn-taking. In this study we inves tigate the roles of creaky voice and utterance fluency measures in predicting fluency and proficiency ratings of spontaneous L2 Finnish (F2) speech. In so doing, 16 expert raters participated in assessing narrative spontaneous speech samples from 160 learn ers of Finnish. Martinin Tulen ja jään laulu -kirjasarjaan perustuvasta transmediauniversumista on tullut ilmiö, jolla on faneja huomattavasti laajemmin kuin vain fantasiaharrastajien piirissä. Tässä artikkelissa pyrin selvittämään tapoja, joilla ihmiset kokevat Valtaistuinpelin maailman, hahmot ja tapahtumat, ja sitä, miten he niitä tulkitsevat ja suhteuttavat omaan elämänkokemukseensa.
