Lievään kehitysvammaisuuteen liittyvä heikko lukutaito : erityisen vaikeaa lukemisvaikeutta?

Yhä suurempi osa kehitysvammaisista ihmisistä huolehtii itsenäisesti asioistaan ja hyvä lukutaito on keskeinen itsenäisen selviytymisen kannalta. Vaikka lukutaidon kehittymistä ja lukemaan oppimisen vaikeuksia on tutkittu paljon, tutkimus kehitysvammaisten ihmisten lukutaidosta on ollut vähäistä. Tutkimuksessa verrattiin lievästi kehitysvammaisia heikosti lukevia nuoria yleiseltä kykytasoltaan keskitasoisiin lukemisvaikeuksisiin nuoriin lukemisen oikeellisuudessa, sujuvuudessa ja ymmärtämisessä. Kuulomonivammaisen lapsen koulunkäynnin toteutuminen lähikoulussa

Kuulomonivammaisten koulupolkua on tutkittu vähänlaisesti, erityisesti inklusiivisessa kouluympäristössä (lähikoulussa). Selvitimme, miten kuulomonivammaisen lapsen koulunkäynti toteutuu lähikoulussa. Tutkimukseen osallistui kaksi kuulomonivammaista lasta, heidän vanhempansa sekä toisen lapsen opettaja ja koulunkäynninohjaaja. Aineisto kerättiin kyselylomakkeilla ja haastatteluilla. Lapsen saaminen lähikouluun voi olla työn takana ja se voi vaatia vanhemmilta tavallista suurempaa aktiivisuutta. Tutkimuksessa selvisi, että yleisopetuksen opettaja muutti opetustapaansa, kun luokassa oli kuulomonivammainen oppilas. This study investigates the reasons for Alberti's uncommon celebrity for over a century, from the first publication of his dictionary (1771-1772) until 1881, when he was still held up as a model by other lexicographers. While compiling his bilingual dictionary, Alberti referred to the monolingual dictionaries of the Académie franaise (4th edition, 1762) and the Accademici della Crusca (4th edition, 1729-1738), but he also drew from the works of other lexicographers, especially Diderot and d'Alembert, whom he only marginally quotes for political reasons. The International Paralympic Committee mandates the development of an evidence-based classification system, which requires a measure of performance. Performance in cross-country sit-skiing is mainly dependent on force generated during the poling phase and is enhanced by trunk flexion–extension movements. Since all sit-skiers have neuromuscular impairment, but different ability to control the trunk, this study aimed to verify if simulated action of poling on an adapted ergometer, together with a cluster analysis, could be used for grouping participants with different impairments according to their performance. Volunteering in adapted sports competitions has not been studied as much as in other competitions. Survey data from volunteers in a supportive role at the European Transplant Sport Week 2016 in Finland were analysed to report the way involvement in the event increased knowledge of transplantation. The treatment of severe self-injurious behavior through sensory stimulation: A case report

Self-injurious behavior of an institutionalized man with profound intellectual disability was treated with a daily 15-min sensory stimulation program, which consisted of moving the arms and hands of the participant, swinging his body, and massage. The frequency of self-injurious behavior was measured in 10-min sessions. Using a reversal design, it was shown that sensory stimulation decreased the participant’s self-hitting behavior significantly, both in intensity and in frequency. Sensory stimulation is recommended for use in those cases in which functional analysis has shown that self-injury may be reinforced by its sensory consequences.
