Tämä työ oli pilottitutkimus tietokoneavusteisen pelin toisesta versiosta, jonka tarkoituksena on opettaa assosiaatio-oppimisen avulla kirjain-äännevastaavuuksia sekä kirjoitettujen ja äännettyjen tavujen välistä yhteyttä. Samalla tutkittiin oliko pelaamisella vaikutusta lasten suoriutumiseen kirjainten nimeämiskykyä sekä fonologista tietoisuutta mittaaviin tehtäviin ja oliko pelin ensimmäiseen versioon tehdyt korjaukset parantaneet sen pelattavuutta. Tutkimukseen osallistui viisi esikouluikäistä poikaa, jotka valittiin tutkimukseen huonon kirjainten nimeämiskykynsä ja esikouluopettajien havaitseman kuntoutustarpeen perusteella. Quine’s conflicts with truth deflationism

AbstractCompared to the extensive amount of literature on various themes of W.V.O. Quine’s philosophy, his immanent concept of truth remains a relatively unexplored topic. This relative lack of research contributes to a persistent confusion on the deflationary and inflationary details of Quine’s truth. According to a popular reading, Quine’s disquotational definition of the truth predicate exhausts the topic of truth, thus amounting to a deflationary view. Others promote opposing interpretations. Charles de Gaulle, one of the most notable leaders of the French history, rose to power outside democratic processes. When he departed for London in June 1940 to continue the opposition against Germany, de Gaulle was not an elected official nor did he hold a significant governmental post. He was also lacking public support, but nevertheless managed to become the symbol of French resistance and emerge as the leader of post-war France. Years later, he again became the head of his country outside democratic processes, yet history does not question his legitimacy as a leader.
