Towards the definitive evaluation framework for cross-platform app development approaches

Abstract Mobile app development is hindered by device fragmentation and vendor-specific modifications. Boundaries between devices blur with PC-tablet hybrids on the one side and wearables on the other. Future apps need to support a host of app-enabled devices with differing capabilities, along with their software ecosystems. Prior work on cross-platform app development concerned concepts and prototypes, and compared approaches that target smartphones. Background: Dry eye disease (DED) is a common cause of ocular pain and discomfort. Dry eye disease (DED) stems from a loss-of-tear film homeostasis and is frequently seen in video display terminal (VDT) users. Video display terminal (VDT) use reduces blink rates and increases incomplete blinks, leading to tear film instability and ocular inflammation, promoting DED. To describe and discuss how such janitor activity can be useful for others is also an objective. The Linux Kernel Janitor Project is a project defined to perform maintenance of the Linux kernel source, often taking on tasks that nobody else will be doing. Privacy protection in a mobile biomedical information collection service

Masteroppgave i informasjons- og kommunikasjonsteknologi 2006 - Høgskolen i Agder, Grimstad This report presents a model in a mobile health care environment and uses a combination of existing technologies to build a privacy protection scheme. This work covers security issues in both the wireless and wired network, and proposes solutions to these issues. A framework using PKI to distribute digital certificates combined with strong encryption using the AES algorithm is described. Using this framework in combination with a RBAC model using location control we present some principles that will ensure privacy in a mobile wireless biomedical information collection service.
