Masteroppgave i matematikkdidaktikk- Universitetet i Agder Denne masteroppgaven er en komparativ studie av lærebøker og deres introduksjon av algebra. Det største fokuset i masteroppgaven ligger på lærebøkenes arbeidsoppgaver, og på sammenhengen mellom deres utforming og elevers forståelse. I teorien har jeg fokusert på det semantiske og syntaktiske aspektet, ulike former for resonering og på relasjonell og instrumentell forståelse. Improving students’ mathematics self-efficacy: A systematic review of intervention studies

Self-efficacy is an integral part of personal factors that contributes substantially to students' success in mathematics. This review draws on previous intervention studies to identify, describe, and expose underlying mechanisms of interventions that foster mathematics self-efficacy. The findings show that effective mathematics self-efficacy interventions can be categorized into three categories using their underlying mechanisms: those that directly manipulate sources of self-efficacy to foster the construct, and those that either embed self-efficacy features in teaching methods or in learning strategies. AbstractTowards the end of 2019, a novel coronavirus, known as COVID-19, was detected and quickly spread worldwide. The resulting pandemic led many countries to lockdown and teaching and learning switched to fully online provision. This study explores how Norwegian higher education lecturers and students of mathematics experienced online provision following this switch in March 2020 when the national lockdown was imposed. Data are generated and analysed using an exploratory sequential mixed methods approach that first entailed interviews with ten mathematics lecturers and six undergraduate students as the foundation for developing a survey instrument.
