Quantized State-Feedback Stabilization for Delayed Markovian Jump Linear Systems with Generally Incomplete Transition Rates

2014

Published version of an article in the journal: Abstract and Applied Analysis. Also available from the publisher at: http://dx.doi.org/10.1155/2014/961925 open Access This paper is concerned with the robust quantized state-feedback controller design problem for a class of continuous-time Markovian jump linear uncertain systems with general uncertain transition rates and input quantization. The uncertainties under consideration emerge in both system parameters and mode transition rates. This new uncertain model is more general than the existing ones and can be applicable to more practical situations because each transition rate can be completely unknown or only its estimate value is known. B…

Observer-Based Robust Control for Switched Stochastic Systems with Time-Varying Delay

2013

Published version of an article in the journal: Abstract and Applied Analysis. Also available from the publisher at: http://dx.doi.org/10.1155/2013/320703 Open Access This paper investigates the problem of observer-based robust H ∞ control for a class of switched stochastic systems with time-varying delay. Based on the average dwell time method, an exponential stability criterion for switched stochastic delay systems is proposed. Then, H ∞ performance analysis and observer-based robust H ∞ controller design for the underlying systems are developed. Finally, a numerical example is presented to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

Robust H∞ filtering for networked control systems with markovian jumps and packet dropouts

2014

Published version of an article in the journal: Modeling, Identification and Control. Also available from the publisher at: http://dx.doi.org/10.4173/mic.2014.3.3 Open Access This paper deals with the H∞ filtering problem for uncertain networked control systems. In the study, network-induced delays, limited communication capacity due to signal quantization and packet dropout are all taken into consideration. The finite distributed delays with probability of occurrence in a random way is introduced in the network. The packet dropout is described by a Bernoulli process. The system is modeled as Markovian jumps system with partially known transition probabilities. A full-order filter is designe…

Chaos Synchronization Based on Unknown Input Proportional Multiple-Integral Fuzzy Observer

2013

Published version of an article in the journal: Abstract and Applied Analysis. Also available from the publisher at: http://dx.doi.org/10.1155/2013/670878 Open Access This paper presents an unknown input Proportional Multiple-Integral Observer (PIO) for synchronization of chaotic systems based on Takagi-Sugeno (TS) fuzzy chaotic models subject to unmeasurable decision variables and unknown input. In a secure communication configuration, this unknown input is regarded as a message encoded in the chaotic system and recovered by the proposed PIO. Both states and outputs of the fuzzy chaotic models are subject to polynomial unknown input with kth derivative zero. Using Lyapunov stability theory…

2009

2011

Masteroppgave i matematikkdidaktikk- Universitetet i Agder 2011 The theme of this master dissertation has been peer collaboration. The main goal of the study has been to illuminate factors that affect pupils working together and whether these factors can be viewed in the context of pair composition based upon student ability. The empirical data is collected in a grade 9 lower secondary school classroom. I used an ethnographic approach where a qualitative method was chosen to answer the research question. The data is gathered by video filming pupils task-related work in pairs, and interviewing the observed pupils and their teacher. The literature discussion focuses on collaborative/cooperati…

2011

Masteroppgave i matematikkdidaktikk- Universitetet i Agder 2011 The theme of this master‟s thesis is cognitive demands in mathematical tasks. There has been done a lot of research within the field, and Stein and her colleagues (2000) have developed a theoretical framework to help analyze and implement mathematical tasks according to their cognitive demand. This framework is called the Mathematical Tasks Framework (MTF) and it describes four different levels of cognitive demand. The quality of mathematical tasks has been an area of interest for me for a long time, and I decided that I wanted to follow up the work of Stein and her colleagues (2000), but I wanted to pay more attention to the c…

Eberlein–Šmulian theorem and some of its applications

2014

Masteroppgave i matematikkdidaktikk – Universitetet i Agder 2014 The thesis is about Eberlein-Šmulian and some its applications. The goal is to investigate and explain different proofs of the Eberlein-Šmulian theorem. First we introduce the general theory of weak and weak* topology defined on a normed space X. Next we present the definition of a basis and a Schauder basis of a given Banach space. We give some examples and prove the main theorems which are needed to enjoy the proof of the Eberlein-Šmulian theorem given by Pelchynski in 1964. Also we present the proof given by Whitley in 1967. Next there is described the connection between the weak topology and the topology and the topology o…
