Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is characterized by chronic inflammation of the airways, with the involvement of many inflammatory cells and mediators. Traditionally, this inflammation is thought to spread to a systemic level, thus inducing damage of different organs. However, other pathogenetic mechanisms could take part to the above-described process, and some open questions need to be solved. Photoplethysmography Analysis of Artery Properties in Patients with Cardiovascular Diseases

In this study arterial parameters of healthy subjects were compared to those of patients with cardiovascular diseases. The photoplethysmography (PPG) measurements of blood volume pulsations have been performed. Using a novel algorithm for analysis of simultaneously measured ear and finger PPG signals, arterial parameters were evaluated in representative groups of healthy subjects and patients with cardiovascular diseases. One reason for the mammalian clade’s success is the evolutionary diversity of their teeth. In herbivores, this is represented by high‐crowned teeth evolved to compensate for wear caused by dietary abrasives like phytoliths and grit. Exactly how dietary abrasives wear teeth is still not understood completely. Maģistra darbs uzrakstīts angļu valodā uz 32 lappusēm. Tas satur 15 attēlus un ir atsauces uz 37 literatūras avotiem. Strauji attīstoties trīsdimensiju (3D) vizualizācijas tehnoloģijai ir nepieciešams precīzi novērtēt cilvēka spēju pielāgoties tai. Šādos pētījumos plaši tiek izmantots EEG. Pētījuma mērķis bija izpētīt smadzeņu aktivitātes īslaicīgās izmaiņas, skatoties uz volumetriskiem attēliem un salīdzinot ar anaglifa 3D attēlu aplūkošanu. El carcinoma de endometrio (CE) es el tumor maligno del aparato reproductor femenino más habitual en el mundo occidental y el cuarto cáncer más frecuente en mujeres, después del de mama, el de pulmón y el colorrectal. La Sociedad Americana del Cáncer estima que la incidencia de CE es de 2.5 veces superior a la del cáncer de cuello uterino, y aun así, no existen programas de screening para detectar el CE. The main task of this paper is to confront two classical measures of default risk of the issuer, the rating and the spread. The first is attributed by agencies specialized in this activity (Standard and Poor's or Moody's) while the second results directly from the market price of the bond. This article studies this link over a period of two years for about forty French denominated bonds. Two measures of the spread are used and the results obtained show the very partial consideration of this information by the investors on the French bond market.

Sin embargo el estudio comparativo entre el Proyecto de Inno-vación Educativa de ADE-Derecho y la licenciatura en Administración y Dirección de Empresas para las asignaturas Estadística I y Estadística II muestra un aumento sig-nificativo en el volumen de trabajo presencial y no presencial para el profesor y del volumen de trabajo no presencial para el alumno.
