Exposure to UV radiation and risk of Hodgkin lymphoma: A pooled analysis

Ultraviolet radiation (UVR) exposure has been inversely associated with Hodgkin lymphoma (HL) risk, but only inconsistently, only in a few studies, and without attention to HL heterogeneity. We conducted a pooled analysis of HL risk focusing on type and timing of UVR exposure and on disease subtypes by age, histology, and tumor-cell Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) status. Four case-control studies contributed 1320HLcasesand 6381 controls. We estimated lifetime, adulthood, and childhood UVR exposure and history of sunburn and sunlamp use. The CDIO Initiative is going through a process of reconsidering and updating the CDIO approach for engineering education development. Previous work resulted in substantial updates of the twelve CDIO standards and the introduction of “optional” CDIO standards. This paper reports on a similar review and update of the CDIO Syllabus to version 3.0. It has been developed by a working group consisting of four sub-groups and iterated and refined guided by feedback from the whole CDIO community. Introduction: Population-based knowledge of the characteristics of wake-up stroke and unknown-onset stroke is limited. We compared occurrence and characteristics of ischaemic and haemorrhagic wake-up stroke, unknown-onset stroke and known-onset stroke in a nationwide register-based study. Patients and methods: We included patients registered in the Norwegian Stroke Register from 2012 through 2019. Age, sex, risk factors, clinical characteristics, acute stroke treatment and discharge destination were compared according to stroke type and time of onset.
