Biomechanics of human ascending aorta and aneurysm rupture risk assessment

Ascending aortic aneurysms (AsAA) and aortic dissections are life-threatening cardiovascular diseases. The main criteria for determining surgical intervention of AsAA are the maximum diameter or the increasing annual rate of the aneurysm. The mortality of the untreated aortic dissection can be 21% to 74%, depending on the delay of hospital admission.Our study aims to characterize the biomechanical properties of the ascending aorta and propose a patient-specific approach to assess the risks of rupture. La misura dei valori assunti dai parametri geometrici del binario e lo stato di usura delle rotaie, ormai da diversi anni viene effettuata con tecniche laser ad alto rendimento e con treni diagnostici (come ad esempio i treni Archimede e Talete per le ferrovie ordinarie). Diplomdarbs ir uzrakstīts latviešu valodā uz 57 lapām. Tajā ir 18 attēli, 12 tabulas, un 76 atsauces uz literatūras avotiem. Tuvredzība ir biežākais refrakcijas traucējumu veids pasaulē. Viena no efektīvākajām tuvredzības optiskās kontroles metodēm ir ortokeratoloģija (Orto-K)– radzenes refraktīvās terapijas metode, kad, lietojot kontaktlēcas (KL) nakts laikā, tiek likvidēta korekcijas nepieciešamības dienā. Pētījuma mērķis bija izvērtēt Orto-K efektivitāti tuvredzības stabilizācijā, nosakot acs ābola aksiālā garuma (AL) izmaiņas 18 mēnešu laika periodā. Different remote sensing methods for detecting variations in agricultural fields have been studied in last two decades. There are already existing systems for planning and applying e.g. nitrogen fertilizers to the cereal crop fields. However, there are disadvantages such as high costs, adaptability, reliability, resolution aspects and final products dissemination. (2005); Am J Hum Genet 77:958-965] reported paternal over-transmission of risk alleles in some ADHD-associated genes. This was particularly clear in the case of the DAT1 3'-UTR VNTR. In the current investigation, we analyzed three new sample comprising of 1,248 ADHD nuclear families to examine the allelic over-transmission of DAT1 in ADHD.
