The deregulation of rail freight has been considered, for long time, as a factor of safety reduction. This article aims to show that, for the moment, one cannot consider that deregulation of rail freight has a significant negative impact on safety in France. Following KJELLÉN (2000), we looked if it's possible to know the periodicity of extreme accidents in this sector.

The poultry disease coccidiosis, caused by infection with Eimeria spp. apicomplexan parasites, is responsible for enormous economic losses to the global poultry industry. The rapid increase of resistance to therapeutic agents, as well as the expense of vaccination with live attenuated vaccines, requires the development of new effective treatments for coccidiosis. The results of a randomized pilot study and qualitative evaluation of the clinical decision support system Curiam BT are reported. We evaluated the system's feasibility and potential value as a radiological information procedure complementary to magnetic resonance (MR) imaging to assist novice radiologists in diagnosing brain tumours using MR spectroscopy (1.5 and 3.0T). Fifty-five cases were analysed at three hospitals according to four non-exclusive diagnostic questions. Our results show that Curiam BT improved the diagnostic accuracy in all the four questions. This paper focuses on the evaluation of an aid scheme included in a larger local development program realized in Italy during the 2000-2006 cycle of EU Structural Funds. It follows a previous analysis (Cusimano, Mazzola, 2014) on the ex-post evaluation of the effects of the aid schemes included in the so-called territorial integrated projects (tips) and aims at identifying the possible presence of selection bias in measuring the effectiveness of the policy. Synthesis and biological evaluation of new indazole derivatives

New N-methyl and N-ethyl substitutions in the indazole nucleus are reported by reacting 3-(2-aminobenzamido)indazole and the appropriate trimethyl/triethyl orthobenzoate. Single crystal X-ray analysis confirms the N-ethylation position for the 3-(1-ethyl-1H-indazol-3-yl)-2-phenylquinazolin-4(3H)-one derivative 3f. Compounds 11a-d and 3a-d were tested to evaluate their antimicrobial, their antiproliferative activity and their COX inhibitory activities showing scarce or moderately antiproliferative activity and some inhibitory activity against COX-1 and COX-2.

Based on some common structural features of known compounds interfering with p53 pathways and our previously synthesized benzamides, we synthesized new ethyl 5-(4-substituted benzamido)-1-phenyl-1H-pyrazole-4-carboxylates 26a-c, ethyl 5-(4-substituted benzamido)-1-(pyridin-2-yl)-1H-pyrazole-4-carboxylates 27a-c and N-(1H-indazol-6-yl)-4-substituted benzamides 31a,b bearing in the 4 position of the benzamido moiety the 2-phenylpropanamido or 2-phenoxyacetamido or cinnamamido groups. Abstract This paper focuses on the study of Spanish ceramic tile exporters' port choice criteria, an industry that is characterized by a low unit value index. Thus, transport costs highly influence the competitiveness of their products in international markets, representing a relatively high percentage of the value of the shipment.
