This study aims to analyse the Physical Activity(PA) levels of a group of children with ASD and explore certain socio-ecological variables that may be correlated with these levels. The participants of this cross-sectional study were 20 boys and 5girls with ASD, aged between 4 and 14 years. Summary. Hepatitis C virus (HCV) is a major health problem worldwide, infecting an estimated 170 million people. The high genetic variability of HCV contributes to the chronicity of hepatitis C. Here, we report results from a large-scale sequence analysis of 67 patients infected with HCV genotype 1, 23 with subtype 1a and 44 with subtype 1b. Stability of radial symmetry for a Monge-Ampère overdetermined problem

Recently the symmetry of solutions to overdetermined problems has been established for the class of Hessian operators, including the Monge-Ampère operator. In this paper we prove that the radial symmetry of the domain and of the solution to an overdetermined Dirichlet problem for the Monge-Ampère equation is stable under suitable perturbations of the data. © 2008 Fondazione Annali di Matematica Pura ed Applicata and Springer-Verlag.
Biophysical parameter retrieval with warped Gaussian processes

This paper focuses on biophysical parameter retrieval based on Gaussian Processes (GPs). Very often an arbitrary transformation is applied to the observed variable (e.g. chlorophyll content) to better pose the problem. This standard practice essentially tries to linearize/uniformize the distribution by applying non-linear link functions like the logarithmic, the exponential or the logistic functions. In this paper, we propose to use a GP model that automatically learns the optimal transformation directly from the data. Abstract Given the forthcoming availability of Sentinel-2 (S2) images, this paper provides a systematic comparison of retrieval accuracy and processing speed of a multitude of parametric, non-parametric and physically-based retrieval methods using simulated S2 data. An experimental field dataset (SPARC), collected at the agricultural site of Barrax (Spain), was used to evaluate different retrieval methods on their ability to estimate leaf area index (LAI). Search for Core-Collapse Supernovae using the MiniBooNE Neutrino Detector

We present a search for core-collapse supernovae in the Milky Way galaxy, using the MiniBooNE neutrino detector. No evidence is found for core-collapse supernovae occurring in our Galaxy in the period from December 14, 2004 to July 31, 2008, corresponding to 98% live time for collection. We set a limit on the core-collapse supernova rate out to a distance of 13.4 kpc to be less than 0.69 supernovae per year at 90% C. L.
Strong monogamy of bipartite and genuine multipartite entanglement: The Gaussian case

We demonstrate the existence of general constraints on distributed quantum correlations, which impose a trade-off on bipartite and multipartite entanglement at once. For all N-mode Gaussian states under permutation invariance, we establish exactly a monogamy inequality, stronger than the traditional one, that by recursion defines a proper measure of genuine N-partite entanglement. Strong monogamy holds as well for subsystems of arbitrary size, and the emerging multipartite entanglement measure is found to be scale invariant. We unveil its operational connection with the optimal fidelity of continuous variable teleportation networks.
