Preparation of hepatitis C virus structural and non-structural protein fragments and studies of their immunogenicity

Abstract Plasmids pQE-60 and pQE-30 containing 6× His-tag sequence were used for expression of fragments of HCV structural and non-structural proteins in Escherichia coli (E. coli). The following fragments were used: core (1–98 aa), NS3 (202–482 aa), and tetramer of hypervariable region 1 (HVR1) of E2 protein. The constructed plasmids directed high levels of expression of HCV proteins in E. coli JM109. After purification by the metal-affinity chromatography on nickel–nitrilotriacetic acid (Ni–NTA) agarose, the His-tagged HCV proteins were used for immunization of BALB/c mice. Psychological models of development of idiopathic environmental intolerances: Evidence from longitudinal population-based data.

Abstract The origin of idiopathic environmental intolerances (IEIs) is an open question. According to the psychological approaches, various top-down factors play a dominant role in the development of IEIs. The general psychopathology model assumes a propensity towards mental ill-health (negative affectivity) increases the probability of developing IEIs. The attribution model emphasizes the importance of mistaken attribution of experienced somatic symptoms; thus, more symptoms should lead to more IEIs. In the present job, our attention is focused on the zones in class I that includes particularly sensitive areas as schools and hospitals. This paper proposes a sensorless technique for an induction machine Flywheel Energy Storage System (FESS) based on a non-linear observer integrated with a total least-squares speed estimator taking into consideration the IM (Induction Machine) saturation effects. Unitarity of the SoV Transform for the Toda Chain

The quantum separation of variables method consists in mapping the original Hilbert space where a spectral problem is formulated onto one where the spectral problem takes a simpler "separated" form. In order to realise such a program, one should construct the map explicitly and then show that it is unitary. In the present paper, we develop a technique which allows one to prove the unitarity of this map in the case of the quantum Toda chain. Our proof solely builds on objects and relations naturally arising in the framework of the so-called quantum inverse scattering method. Robust regulation with an H<inf>∞</inf> constrain for linear two-time scale systems

In this paper, the problem of robust multi-objective control design with an H ∞ constrain is studied for a class of linear two-time scale systems. The design is based on a new modelling approach under the assumption of norm-boundedness of the fast dynamics. In this method, a portion of the fast dynamics is treated as a norm-bounded perturbation in the design by its maximum possible gain. In this view, the problem of robust multi-objective control design is performed only for the certain dynamics of the two-time scale system, whose order is less than that of the original system. One illustrative example is used to demonstrate the validity of the proposed approach.

The Closed-Form Solution for a Family of Four-Dimension Non-Linear MHDS

In this paper I propose a method for solving in closed form a general class of four-dimension non-linear modified Hamiltonian dynamic systems. This method may be used to study several intertemporal optimization problems with a predetermined structure, involving unbounded technological constraints as well as multiple controls and state variables. The method is developed here by solving the first order conditions corresponding to the socially optimal solution to the Lucas (1988) two-sector model of endogenous growth.

Fiber Suspension Flows: Simulations and Existence Results

Main result of this article is demonstrating the weak global in time well posedness result for the equations governing fiber suspension flows for sufficiently small initial data under mild assumptions about the nonlinear equation for fiber orientation dynamics and the constitutive law, thus extending the previous local in time results. The required estimate of growth of the H 2 norm is granted if the L ∞ norm of fiber orientation state variables remains bounded. This is the case for fiber orientation tensors.
