Darba nosaukums ir „Japānā izveidotie hieroglifi – kokudži, un to saikne ar Japānas kultūru”. Hieroglifi Japānā ir ieceļojuši no Ķīnas, jo savas rakstības pirms hieroglifiem japāņiem nebija. Tie iedalās divās grupās – hieroglifi, kuri ienāca no Ķīnas, un hieroglifi, kuri bija radīti uz vietas, jo Japānā pastāvēja jēdzieni, kuri nav bijuši Ķīnā, tāpēc parādījās vajadzība radīt savus hieroglifus. The purpose of the paper is to bring together and to assess some strands of the funerary imagery elaborated in Centuripe (Sicily) in 3rd-1st centuries B.C., that until recently have been viewed in total isolation from each other. Vertical distribution of crop load and fruit quality within vase- and Y-shaped canopies of 'Elegant Lady' peach

Canopy shape and depth may influence crop uniformity of peach trees at harvest. To test this hypothesis we examined yield distribution and fruit quality changes at different canopy levels of peach trees trained to delayed vase (DV) and perpendicular Y (Y). Trees of both training forms were divided vertically into six or seven 50-cm-deep layers and fruit was harvested at commercial ripening from each layer separately. Regardless of training form, number of fruit and yield per layer were highest in the central part of the canopy, but more evenly distributed among canopy layers in Y trees. Käsittelen pro gradu- työssäni Women´s Labour League-järjestön (WLL) näkemyksiä ja suhdetta työtä tekeviin naisiin, kotiäiteihin sekä työväenpuolueeseen järjestön perustamisesta vuonna 1906 siihen asti, kun se vuoden 1918 lopulla liittyi virallisesti osaksi työväenpuoluetta. Tutkin sitä, miten niiden etujen ajaminen ja näkemykset näkyivät WLL:n toiminnassa sekä kumman asioiden ajaminen oli järjestölle tärkeämpää. Lisäksi pohdin sitä, vaikuttivatko erilaiset aikakaudelle tyypilliset yhteiskunnalliset tekijät, kuten sosialismi, keskiluokan näkemykset työväenluokasta ja etenkin sen naisista sekä suffragetit, WLL:n ajatuksiin ja toimintaan.
