Pētījumā piedalījās 15 dalībnieki (no 21 līdz 29 gadiem).

Auditory cortical and hippocampal-system mismatch responses to duration deviants in urethane-anesthetized rats

2013

Any change in the invariant aspects of the auditory environment is of potential importance. The human brain preattentively or automatically detects such changes. The mismatch negativity (MMN) of event-related potentials (ERPs) reflects this initial stage of auditory change detection. The origin of MMN is held to be cortical. The hippocampus is associated with a later generated P3a of ERPs reflecting involuntarily attention switches towards auditory changes that are high in magnitude. The evidence for this cortico-hippocampal dichotomy is scarce, however. To shed further light on this issue, auditory cortical and hippocampal-system (CA1, dentate gyrus, subiculum) local-field potentials were …

Riflessioni sulla conventio in D. 2.14.1.3

2019

The author proposes a new interpretation of the well-known Ulpian’s and Pedius’ words contained in D. 2.14.1.3, which is based on the idea that ‘conventio’, despite its common assumption as equivalent of ‘consensus’ (in the abstract sense of subjective element of a contract), rather alludes to the content of the ‘consensus’ as the objective result of a coinciding perception and will (‘in idem sentire’) between the contracting parties.

Reconstruction of a Lower Lip Defect with Bilateral Nasolabial Musculocutaneous Flap. Case Report

2020

Abstract Squamous cell carcinoma is the most common form of malignant tumour in the lower lip and its radical excision sometimes leads to complex defects. The treatment of squamous cell carcinoma of the lower lip is mainly surgical and consists of complete excision of the tumour, followed by immediate reconstruction. Although the nasolabial flap is a common flap used in the reconstruction of facial defects, it is an underestimated option in the reconstruction of the lower lip. We describe the reconstruction of a large defect of the lower lip that includes the bilateral commissures and ¼ of the upper lip, left side, in a 76-year-old male patient. Bilateral musculocutaneous nasolabial flap wa…

Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumors (GISTs)

2021

Gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs) are a group of tumors that, over the past 15 years, has emerged from a poorly understood neoplasm to a well-defined tumor entity. GISTs are highly resistant to conventional chemotherapy and, in the past, were typically managed surgically.

Oral Health-Related quality of life in Portuguese undergraduate students

2021

Background The Oral Health-related Quality of Life (OHRQoL) is an essential part of health and wellbeing that aims to assess the impact of oral health on aspects of personal and social life. This investigation aimed to study the OHRQoL in undergraduate students and relate it to sociodemographic, academic behaviours, oral health behaviours, the presence of oral problems and self-perception of oral health. Material and Methods The study target-population consisted of the undergraduate students attending the University of Lisbon (UL). Data collection was carried out through an online questionnaire which included self-reported sociodemographic and academic characteristics, behaviours and oral h…

Stranieri. Figure dell'Altro nella Grecia antica

2014
