This study describes the strategic renewal of family business after succession in the textile, clothing, leather and footwear industry (T/C) in light of three examples. Family firms often have an individual approach to developing capabilities for new generations. A turbulent environment, internal resources and the capabilities of the management all have an impact on strategic decisions. The research is a multiple case study of three cases. In each of the companies the succession process, the different roles of the successor, the critical incidents and how they relate to the succession are described. Effect of oil lamination between plasticized starch layers on film properties

International audience; To reduce the hygroscopic character of biodegradable starch-based films, rapeseed oil was incorporated by lamination (starch-oil-starch 3-layers technique). The lipid lamination followed by starch solution casting step induced an emulsion type structure of dried films. Composite films are more opalescent and glossier than fatty free starch films. For all the films, structure is heterogeneous in the cross-section only. Adding fat induced a twice decrease of the tensile strength. Thermal gravimetry analysis did not show differences between films with and without oil. Lipid reduced the moisture absorption particularly at higher RH as well as the surface swelling index, …

Gender is the most pervasive classification of individuals and thus strongly defines couple relationships. Cultural discourses on couple relationships reproduce hierarchical gender differences, and couple distress is often linked to gendered power inequalities. At worst, gender is the basis for intimate partner violence (IPV). Generally, however, therapeutic interventions do not address the issues of gender and gendered power. This paper discusses the meaning and functions of gender in the context of couple therapy, in particular for IPV. Tutkimuksessa tarkasteltiin yksilöpsykoterapiassa käytäviä yhteistyösuhdekatkosten prosessointikeskusteluja asiakkaan ongelmallisen kokemuksen rakentumisen näkökulmasta. Tutkimuksen ensimmäisessä vaiheessa tutkittiin yhteistyösuhteessa tapahtuvia muutoksia katkosten ja ratkaisuyritysten näkökulmasta. Toinen osa oli tutkia ongelmallisen kokemuksen rakentumista eli tarkastella asiakkaan sisäisiä dialogeja yhteistyösuhteen prosessointikeskusteluissa. Tavoitteena oli tutkia onko katkoksilla, niiden ratkaisemisella ja ongelmallisella kokemuksella yhteyttä toisiinsa.
