Our perceptions of events in the Mediterranean are strongly influenced by a range of visual practices that impact on both the emotional and the political. In this paper, I set out to critically explore the visual geographies underlying photographic images of contemporary migration flows across the Mediterranean Sea. I argue the need for a methodological shift from a content analysis approach to a critical investigation of the spatial interweaving of images, gazes and aesthetic regimes that governs both the production and reception of such photographs. This paradigm is applied here to study change detection of facial expressions in a context which demands abstraction of the emotional expression-related facial features among other changing facial features. Desde los años 80 han proliferado nuevas formas atípicas de empleo en el Estado Español. En este contexto, se legaliza el trabajo cedido en 1994. Según los últimos datos del Anuario de Estadísticas Laborales, el número de trabajadores cedidos es de 708.600 en 2017, habiendo alcanzado la cifra de 1.678.668 en 2009. En el ámbito académico español se ha examinado el trabajo cedido desde una perspectiva jurídica y económica. En menor medida encontramos algún estudio sobre la precariedad de las personas que tienen este estatus. Interest in studying teaching practices has increased, because of the need to evaluate teachers and dissatisfaction with the usual ways of doing it. Recent approaches with Value-Added Models, based on students’ results on achievement tests do not seem satisfactory. The article is based on a review of literature and classifies the approaches to practices in three groups: instruments based on information given by teachers; observation protocols; and approaches based on the analysis of products of the practices.
