Bakalaura darbā tiek pētīts neverbālo komunikācijas līdzekļu lietojums britu un amerikāņu lietišķajās prezentācijās. Pētījuma mērķis ir analizēt un salīdzināt neverbālo līdzekļu lietojumu apkopotajās prezentācijās. Pētījuma metodes, kuras pielietotas pētījuma izstrādē, ietver ar pētījuma tematu saistītu teorētisko materiālu analīzi un gadījuma izpēti. Šajā darbā teorija tiek piemērota praksē, pētot neverbālās komunikācijas līdzekļus divās lietišķajās prezentācijās. Pētījuma rezultāti atklāj esošās līdzības un atšķirības, kuras pastāv starp britu un amerikāņu oratoriem, ņemot vērā kineksiku, okuleksiku, paralingvistiku un proksēmiku.
A Cognitive Grammar account of the Latin preverb per-: A path towards abstractness.

The present paper is concerned with investigating the relationship between prepositions and preverbs in Early Latin. More specifically we aim at analysing the polysemic network of the Early Latin preverb per- and the relationship linking it with the corresponding preposition. For this purpose we have investigated the entire electronic corpus (PHI5) of comedies by Plautus and a technical work (i.e. Cato’s De Agri Cultura, ), which represent a substantial sample of the oldest Latin attestations in an extensive and non- fragmentary form. Bakalaura darba mērķis ir izpētīt apstākļa vārdu lietojumu ES fondu finansētos projektu pārskatos. Šis darbs ir aktuāls angļu valodas runātajiem, kas ir iesaistīti CORDIS failu sastādīšanā un rediģēšanā. Literatūras pārskats izlūko apstākļa vārdu un apstākļa palīgteikuma teoriju, kā arī diskursa, diskursa analīzes un institucionālās valodas koncepcijas. Kas attiecas uz metodoloģiju, pētījumam ir kvalitatīvs raksturs ar kvantitatīviem elementiem. Darba teorētiskajā daļā tiek veikts sekundāro avotu pārskats. Aquesta investigació té com a objectiu principal identificar i localitzar els diversos processos pels quals el valencià forma el seu propi sistema demostratiu, diferent del sistema català general. Al final de l’edat mitjana, el català gesta un sistema ternari a través d’un nou grau intermedi, que emergeix a partir de formes inicialment anafòriques ((aqu)eix, això, aquí) que entren en terreny díctic. No obstant això, durant l’edat moderna ocorren més alteracions. En algunes àrees com la valenciana i la ribagorçana es manté el sistema ternari amb la modificació d’algunes formes (ex. este o ahí). This article is devoted to the analysis of the use of the Russian proverb by Polish Internet users: ”We’re getting it done, slowly but surely”. The analysis showed that the authors of the statements know the origin of this proverb, but misunderstand its meaning, which is caused by an interlanguage homonymy.

The article presents a picture of the relationship between the public and private targets of upbringingof Finnish common people’s children in early 20th-century Finland. The statutes focusing on childrencontain the information regarding the expectations of the society. The documents date back to the periodfrom 1442 to 1917, when Finland gained independence. However, the legislation influenced people’sattitudes up to the 20th century. The purpose of this article is to introduce some features of the relationship between proverbs and gender in Finnish folklore tradition. I focus on pedagogical speech using proverbs in the life-stories from the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. The main interest is on bringing up children concentrating on the written memories and the everyday life of ordinary people. This deals with the private level of education in childhood memories.
