El nombre Biscutella marinae se aplica a un endemismo de los ecosistemas de dunas costeras del norte de Alicante. Sin embargo, su publicación ini-cial no se hizo conforme al Codigo de Melbourne, por lo que dicho nombre no es váli-do nomenclaturalmente. Se comentan algunos aspectos relacionados con la descripción de Teucrium valentinum Schreb. [sect. Polium (Mill.) Schreb., Labiatae] y su valor taxonómico dentro de la sistemática del género. Se propone como novedad nomenclatural Teucrium capitatum subsp. valentinun (Schreb.) P. Ferrer, E. Laguna, R. Roselló, Gómez Nav., A. Guillén & J.B. Peris, comb. & stat. nov. Some aspects related to the description of Teucrium valentinum Schreb. [sect. Polium (Mill.) Schreb., Labiatae] and its taxonomic value in the systematic of the genus are discussed.
