Artikkelissa tarkastellaan sukupuolistunutta väkivaltaa Antti J. Jokisen ja Aku Louhimiehen ohjaamissa pitkissä kotimaisissa elokuvissa. Tarkastelun kohteena on, miten ja millaista väkivaltaa elokuvissa esitetään ja millaisia väkivaltaa koskevia tulkintoja elokuvat avaavat myös suhteessa kulttuurisiin viitekehyksiin. Le donne migranti e le seconde generazioni costituiscono una realtà emergente in Italia anche sotto il profilo del maltrattamento e la violenza intrafamiliare, pur con alcune peculiarità che le distinguono tanto dalle donne italiane, quanto le une dalle altre, a causa delle mille sfaccettature derivanti dalla complessità dei percorsi migratori al femminile. La ricerca, a partire dall’esperienza dei processi migratori di donne straniere in Italia, rintraccia i legami retrospettivi della violenza che fanno da sfondo ad un progetto di emancipazione – tutto al femminile – di donne provenienti per la maggior parte dal terzo mondo.
