Generación de fractales a partir del método de Newton

[EN] A large number of fractals known, as Julia fractals and Mandelbrot, can be generated from an iterative method. In this paper we present a virtual laboratory developed as a Graphical User Interface (GUI) of Matlab that allows us to study and visualize in real time the relationship between Newton iterative methods of two variables and the generation of fractals. The main objective is to allow Technical School students in Numerical Computation subjects to acquire the skills to generate fractals and interpret their plots in terms of the convergence or divergence speed of the sequence of iterated.
A Theoretical Learning Model Combining Stochastic Cellular Automata and Economic Indicators to Simulate Land Use Change

The study of change in land use has been included in territorial planning to inform spatial planners and policy makers of the possible developments they face in order to optimize future management decisions. In this paper the authors present the core of an original learning model coupling stochastic Cellular Automata and economic indicators to simulate the land use change. This model is an important step in building an “environmental virtual laboratory” to explore, explain and forecast land use change.
TeamSim: An Educational Micro-World for the Teaching of Team Dynamics

In this paper we present an educational micro-world in which a learner can manipulate variables affecting the efficiency with which a team adapts to its environment. These include the structure of hierarchical relations within the team, the structure of the communications network, and other environmental parameters. Using the micro-world, the learner can design experiments (simulations) exploring notions in the dynamics of small groups. En este treball es presenta el disseny d’un Laboratori virtual d’ensenyament-aprenentatge per a la resolució d’un problema model de Transferència de la Calor en la matèria d’Enginyeria Tèrmica del II curs del Grau d’Enginyer de Tecnologies Industrials de la Universidad Rey Juan Carlos de Madrid. En l’àmbit de la Dinàmica de Fluids Computacional i per mitjà de l’ús del programari de simulació d’Ansys Fluent s’introduïx l’alumne al disseny, modelatge del sistema, resolució, anàlisi i validació del model.
