Abstract We can approach the knowledge of the city from multiple ways. We think that urban typography is a very attractive element to know the cities. In this article vindicates typography as an educational value, which allows also a better knowledge of the urban culture. Letters as a design constitute a decisive visual element in the urban environment. Fear and Body. Art and Media Projects for Teacher Training.

Media and contemporary art is important for teacher training. Art educators could link art experience with their own reality, and media evidences. Creativity deals with social, political and cultural issues. From an innovative perspective, we propose strategies for art educators. We introduce topics in the school setting, linked to the emotions, needs and students' life. Concepts such as 'fear' or 'body' allow us to investigate current problems. We approach the concepts from the work of Spanish artists Carmen Calvo and Anna Ruiz Sospedra. Methodology used mixed, combining Arts-Based Educational Research and Artography. Turning Right/Turning Left? : A Neoclassical Socioeconomic Query of the Arts Signaled by Museum and Branding in Finland

ABSTRACTThe Guggenheim Helsinki Plan indicated a wishful turn of the arts and culture in Finland from the socio-democratic tradition of a welfare society towards a further neoliberalism. Following the Finnish historical timeline and from a museological viewpoint, this article reviews how national identity was built through the arts, which later integrated into formal and informal education to enhance human capital. In this article, I explore transgressive experience by embracing my personal encounters with art and life. In accordance with a phenomenological approach, I emphasize immediate experience, description, and analysis of the world as a source of knowledge and understanding. The article is based on the hermeneutic phenomenological approach in action research.
