Whereas cross-sectional research has shown that transformational leadership, task interdependence, and self-efficacy are positively related to teachers’ engagement in reflective learning activities, the causal direction of these relations needs further inquiry. At the same time, individual teacher learning might play a mutual role in strengthening school-level capacity for sustained improvement. Kształcenie zawodowe w świetle obowiązujących aktów prawnych

W artykule zaprezentowane zostały zmiany w systemie kształcenia zawodowego obowiązujące w Polsce od roku szkolnego 2017/2018. Najważniejszą zmianą jest powołanie szkoły branżowej I stopnia, która zastąpiła Zasadniczą Szkołę Zawodową. Kolejną istotną zmianą jest zmodyfikowana klasyfikacja zawodów szkolnictwa zawodowego. Głównym celem zmian jest dostosowanie systemu kształcenia do potrzeb gospodarki, które realizowane będzie we współpracy z lokalnymi przedsiębiorcami.

Vocational teachers in the face of major educational reform: Individual ways of negotiating professional identities.

This paper examines how vocational teachers negotiate their professional identity in the context of a major externally imposed curriculum reform. The focus is on the teachers' orientations towards the reform in its initial stage. Sixteen Finnish vocational teachers were interviewed using open-ended narrative interviews. The data were analysed in accordance with data-driven qualitative analysis methods. Labor-Market Returns to Higher Vocational Schooling

This paper examines the labor-market returns to a new form of postsecondary vocational education, vocational master's degrees. We use individual fixed effects models on the matched sample of students and non-students from Finland to capture any time-invariant differences across individuals. Attendance in vocational master's programs leads to higher earnings of eight percent five years after entry even if selection on unobservables is twice as strong as selection on observables. Earnings gains are similar by gender and age, but they are marginally higher for health than for business or technology and trades. nonPeerReviewed

Leadership and meaningful work: The possibilities and challenges of the Vocational Meaning and Fulfillment Survey In this study we examined how leaders perceive meaningful work and if the new Vocational Meaning and Fulfillment Survey (VMFS) could be used as a leadership tool in organizations.
