Tämän tutkimuksen aiheena oli Voltairen ja Rousseaun ajatukset ja mielipiteet uskonnosta. Ta-voitteena oli saada selville miten heidän uskonnolliset käsityksensä eroavat toisistaan. Tutki-muksen tavoitteeseen pyritään pääsemään pääasiassa vertailemalla heidän teoksiaan Traité sur la tolérance ja Profession de foi du vicaire savoyarde. Voltairea ja Rousseauta pidetään yksinä suurimmista valistusajan filosofeista. Tutkimus on jaettu kolmeen osaan. Traffic has an important impact on the air quality which affects both the environmental and human health. Since the introduction of PGE-containing catalytic converters, a number studies have been undertaken to determine the effects of PGE emissions on human and to environment. This requires the development of good analytic methods to measure Pt and Rh concentrations in environmental matrices, as well to estimate background concentrations. [EN] A web-based database of voltammograms is presented for characterizing artists' pigments and corrosion products of ceramic, stone and metal objects by means of the voltammetry of immobilized particles methodology. An adaptive method for Volterra–Fredholm integral equations on the half line

AbstractIn this paper we develop a direct quadrature method for solving Volterra–Fredholm integral equations on an unbounded spatial domain. These problems, when related to some important physical and biological phenomena, are characterized by kernels that present variable peaks along space. The method we propose is adaptive in the sense that the number of spatial nodes of the quadrature formula varies with the position of the peaks. The convergence of the method is studied and its performances are illustrated by means of a few significative examples. The parallel algorithm which implements the method and its performances are described.
