Moreover, most of these unpredictable events will be those with the strongest echoes, giving full meaning to the concept of risk as cross between hazard and vulnerability. This paper is part of the update of the atlas of the value and vulnerability of agricultural areas in the French territory of Doubs. It is a project initiated by the French “Direction Départementale des Territoires”, carried out in 2012 by the ThéMA laboratory, and whose update began in January 2019. The objective is to create a decision-making tool for spatial planning and development, for sustainable spatial management. This work presents the method for identifying agricultural areas in the Doubs and their evaluation based on a multi-criteria analysis built on four indices: environmental, spacial structure, financial assistance and labelling.

In recent years, a growing number of forced migrants have travelled to Italy across the Mediterranean Sea. While the number of new arrivals has diminished since 2017, the Italian reception system still struggles to process the high number of applications for international protection. A significant proportion of forced migrants who arrive in Italy end up living in informal settlements, such as occupied buildings, shacks, containers and tented camps.
