Synthesis and processing of nanocrystalline tungsten carbide: Towards cemented carbides with optimal mechanical properties

Abstract Nanocrystalline tungsten carbide has been obtained by reduction/carburization at low temperature from precursors obtained by freeze-drying of aqueous solutions. Nanocrystalline WC powders with a adequate content of carbon were mixed with submicrometric Cobalt powder (12 wt.%), obtained by same synthesis method, and sintered in vacuum furnace. The cemented carbides fabricated from experimental powders were compared with both commercial ultrafine and nanocrystalline WC-12Co mixtures consolidated by the same route. The article presents the attitude of Polish political emigration towards first parliamentary election held in Poland after World War II. The election caused discussions in emigration press. The Polish government in exile did not hoped for any change of political situation in country after elections conducted under communist rule. Most of the political parties in exile took similar position. In the opinion of the emigrants a truly free election could be conducted under international supervision and after the withdrawal of Soviet troops and removal from power dominated by communists Provisional Government of National Unity.

However, this may lead to under-diagnosis of urogenital schistosomiasis, as the disease may present itself with genital symptoms in the absence of ova in the urine. Several studies have shown that migratory birds play an important role in the ecology, circulation and dissemination of pathogenic organisms. In October 2006, a health status evaluation was performed on a large population of migratory birds passing through the territory of Ustica (Italy), an island located on the migration route of many species of birds to Africa, and various laboratory tests were conducted. In total, 218 faecal swabs and the internal organs of 21 subjects found dead in nets were collected for bacteriological and virological examination, including avian influenza and Newcastle disease. An analytical model of a new packet marking algorithm for TCP flows: Preliminary insights

In differentiated services networks, packet marking schemes can be devised to differentiate packets belonging to a same TCP flow, with the goal of improving the experienced performance. This paper presents an analytical model for an adaptive packet marking scheme proposed in our previous work. The model combines three specific sub-models aimed at describing i) the TCP sources aggregate ii) the marker, and iii) the network status. Some preliminary simulative results seem to validate the model.

W artykule przedstawiono doświadczenia Biblioteki Głównej Uniwersytetu Opolskiego w tworzeniu instytucjonalnego repozytorium opartego na wcześniej funkcjonującym systemie ewidencji publikacji. Lokalnie gromadzone dane o publikacjach przekazywane są następnie, na podstawie obowiązujących aktów normatywnych regulujących System Informacji o Nauce, do ministerialnych systemów teleinformatycznych. W tekście omówiono również problemy związane z gromadzeniem i przekazywaniem danych o publikacjach do Modułu Sprawozdawczego Polskiej Bibliografii Naukowej, jednego z modułów Zintegrowanego Systemu Informacji o Nauce i Szkolnictwie Wyższym.

In order to give everyone the chance to access, enjoy, create and share content on the web, it is necessary to design “interoperable” interaction systems, i.e., always reliable both in different contexts of use and in the presence of different input modes. For this purpose, UX/UI designers need to acquire specific skills in the field of web standards and in writing HTML, CSS, and Javascript languages, which are fundamental for the design of accessible web components.
