Foot-strike and the associated load rate are factors related to overuse injuries in runners. The purpose of this study was to analyse structural and functional changes in runners using floating heel running shoes, compared with runners using conventional footwear. A randomised control trial was conducted. Twenty runners with overuse injuries were followed over a 12-week gait retraining programme using floating heel running shoes or their conventional footwear. In this article, starting with the exemplary case of Charlie Hebdo, we discuss the way in which the theme of laughter is intertwined with that of freedom of expression. More precisely, we try to answer the following questions: how can the comic framework modify the space of freedom of expression? Can everything be said within this kind of framework? Can laughter be both an antidote and an enhancer of verbal violence?
EMI Worsening in a SMPS with Non-linear Inductor

This paper is focused on the input current in a Switched Mode Power Supply (SMPS) in which the power inductor is exploited up to the saturation showing a non-linear behaviour. The input current exhibits a distortion due to the non-linearity. The electromagnetic interference (EMI) caused by the ripple at switching frequency, superimposed to the DC value of the input current, requires a suitable design of the input differential mode (DM) filter. The input current is analyzed both in the time and frequency domain for different operating conditions, and it is compared to a SMPS equipped with a traditional linear inductor.

Background: The study aimed to evaluate the angle of trunk rotation (ATR) and symmetry of lower limb loading in professional musicians. Material and Methods: A total of 60 instrumentalists were examined: cellists, violinists and musicians playing wind instruments. The scoliometer examination was used to assess trunk asymmetry. The angle of trunk rotation was measured at segment: Th1–Th4, Th5–Th12, and Th12–L4. The maximum value (ATR max) and the sum of three rotations (STR) were calculated. W artykule dokonano przeglądu badań dotyczących znaczenia środowiska fizycznego klasy szkolnej dla przebiegu kształcenia, klimatu uczenia się i jakości wzajemnego komunikowania się. W analizach skupiono się zwłaszcza na strefach dystansu fizycznego, zatłoczeniu i zagęszczeniu, aranżacji miejsc siedzących oraz wystroju wnętrza sali lekcyjnej. Z przeglądu badań wynika, że mniejsze dystanse fizyczne między nauczycielem a uczniami sprzyjają osiąganiu wyższych wyników w nauce. Brak odpowiedniej przestrzeni fizycznej (zatłoczenie i zagęszczenie) wpływa na kłopoty z koncentracją, zmniejsza dokładność wykonywania zadań i nasila zachowania agresywne.
