This essay describes a phenomenology of the body and his language, the emotions. The main purpose is to highlight their referential scope. Emotions enable us to comprehend individual aspects partecipating in our lifeworlds. This perspective challanges today's dominant culture, where emotions are understood as mere self-expressions. Seen as favourable reactions to meeting the other, emotions appaear to us as forms of love and produce knowledge by dilection for the other's inner world. A reflection on the emotions, particulary empathy, highlights their impotance for the moral education to a correct sensibility.
The management of crop-livestock systems at a territory level: the example of grain legume crops and of monogastric livestock in Burgundy, France

Although cereals and oil seed crops are very developed in Burgundy, the area of grain legumes cultivation is small. Concerning monogastric livestock, the region is characterised by a medium size poultry production focussed on markets under quality and origin signs (SIQO) and a relatively small pig production. In the frame of the restoration intervention on a 16th century wooden altar performed by the experts of the Gallery of Art for the Sicilian Region ‘Palazzo Abatellis’, a deep scientific investigation of the artwork has been made by a scientific team in order to individuate the constitutive materials and techniques. The outcomes from the multi-analytical analyses supported the scheduling and monitoring of the conservation treatments and revealed the pictorial materials and underdrawing techniques typical of the artistic production for this typology of work of art widespread between the 15th and 16th centuries in central and northern Europe.

Evaluation of plasma antioxidant status after red wine intake

Several studies report that the plasma antioxidant capacity (PAC) increases after a single ingestion of red wine. However, data on the different behaviour of PAC after food intake in subjects of the same sex are still lacking. On the basis of these observations some investigations were undertaken in order to evaluate the effects of red wine intake on PAC in a homogeneous groups of healthy female volunteers (n=18). Additionally, the possible correlation between increase of PAC values and increase in uric acid levels was also assessed. This is the first study on the brand–land link for quality wines with a strong identity produced in extreme territories using the Policy Delphi methodology.
