In this study, measure-correlate-predict (MCP) algorithms - Simple Linear Regression and Variance Ratio Methods - for predicting wind speed were studied. The MCP algorithms were successfully used to predict missing wind speeds at two sites in Jyväskylä and Viitasaari, respectively. These two algorithms used data from one of the site to predict missing wind speed data at the other site. The results obtained using the MCP methods were compared using metrics that showed the characteristics of the predicted data to be unbiased compared to measured data. Background: Epigenetic clocks may increase our understanding on human aging and how genetic and environmental factors regulate an individual aging process. One of the most promising clocks is Horvath’s DNA methylation (DNAm) age. Age acceleration, i.e., discrepancy between DNAm age and chronological age, tells us whether the person is biologically young or old compared to his/her chronological age. Several environmental and lifestyle factors have been shown to affect life span. Lietotne ļauj lietotājiem veidot klientu profilus, glabāt informāciju par paveiktajām darbībām un pēc lietotāja izvēlētajiem kritērijiem skatīt kopsavilkumu diagrammas veidā. Tīmekļa lietotnes galvenais mērķis ir sniegt lietotājiem vienkāršotu alternatīvu un draudzīgu lietošanā sistēmu uzskaites veikšanai, apvienojot iespēju glabāt informāciju un veikt pārskatus vienā vietā.

In this article, I discuss the private dress collection of Brita Kekkonen (1927–2013), a diplomatic wife, who was a very well-known figure in Finland during the period of the Cold War. Brita Kekkonen was also a very talented dress-maker and a very fashionable figure in diplomatic circles. Some eighty outfits made by Brita Kekkonen have survived to this day, in addition to her volumi-nous pattern collection, containing more than 1,000 patterns from several decades. Tutkimukseni koskee ikäihmisten yksinäisyyden huomioimista vanhuspoliittisissa strategioissa. Kartoitan tutkimuksessa palvelurakenteen vastaamista yksinäisyyden problematiikkaan ikäihmisten elämässä strategioiden tasolta. Tutkimukseni ikäihmiset ovat yli 75-vuotiaita, joiden katsotaan tekeillä olevan vanhuspalvelulain luonnoksen mukaan olevan eräänlaisen rajapyykin saavuttaneita henkilöitä. Palvelujen tarve kasvaa 75 vuotta täyttäneillä selvästi.
