Puritāņu sievišķības un Indiāņu mežonības atspoguļojums agrīnās ASV nebrīves stāstījumos

Maģistra darbā tiek pētīts Puritāņu sievišķības un Indiāņu ‘mežonības’ atspoguļojums Mērijas Rovlandsones, Hannas Dustonas un Mērijas Džemisones nebrīves stāstījumos. Pētījuma teorētiskajā daļā tiek pētīti avoti par puritānismu, puritāņu reliģiskajiem uzskatiem un attiecībām starp puritāņu kolonistiem un indiāņiem. Pētījumā iekļauta arī teorija par nebrīves stāstījumiem un sieviešu lomu tajos. Darbā tika pielietota diskursa analīze, literārā analīze, vēsturiskā analīze, dzimtes vēsture, sieviešu vēsture un postkoloniālā teorija. However, some PHY layer parameters, such as the transmission power, the antenna, and the modulation/coding scheme, have a deep impact on network performance. Cross-Technology WiFi/ZigBee Communications: Dealing With Channel Insertions and Deletions

In this letter, we show how cross-technology interference can be exploited to set up a low-rate bidirectional communication channel between heterogeneous WiFi and ZigBee networks. Because of the environment noise and receivers' implementation, the cross-technology channel can be severely affected by insertions and deletions of symbols, whose effects need to be taken into account by the coding scheme and communication protocol.

FPGA Implementation of a Reconfigurable 802.11 Medium Access Control

THis work describes a full implementation of a reconfigurable IEEE 802.11 Medium Access Control (MAC) in FPGA using a System on Chip (SoC) architecture. The proposed implementation has been designed with a great structural flexibility, so to ease the protocol modification, and to support Quality of Service (QoS) function. Estensive tests has been carried out showing a full compliance to the 802.11 standard timing and algorithms.

In the last twenty years, agency has entered the field of anthropological studies of Lowland South America Indigenous Peoples as a term and a topic of concern. Ethnographical and theoretical treatment of this notion has intertwined here with the revisiting of the concept of animism, Viveiros de Castro’s statements about “amerindian perspectivism” and a broader “ontological turn” in research orientation. In the paper I discuss this trend, focusing on how different notions of agency are used to talk about topics as shamanism and ontological status of artifacts as well as, more generally, of other non-human categories of beings. The present work outlines the natural, historical and cultural values of the selected fragment of Silesian Przesieka located in the southern part of a locality called Miejsce (the former town of Schwirz) (Świerczów municipality, Namysłów сounty, Opole Province, Poland). Here, the natural values are also mixed with unique historical, cultural and landscape values. The authors reconstruct the original riverbed of the Stobrawa River using a Digital Elevation Model. This paper casts recent accomplishments in the field of Wireless MAC programmability into the emerging Software Defined Networking perspective. We argue that an abstract (but formal) description of the MAC protocol logic in terms of extensible finite state machines appears a convenient and viable data-plane programming compromise for modeling and deploying realistic MAC protocol logics.
